This 1 solid month, I have lost my freedom. So when school reopens, I need that 1/2 day break from them. Patience has worn thin facing them 24/7.

This is the problem as SAHM...full time working mums have to juggle work, home and kids. SAHM have to be all-rounder. Forget MC or annual leave.
Men seem to have it easy.

I need to relax...without them. Bring them along for coffee, might as well I stay at home.
I don't agree that men seem to have it easy. Office is a stressful place as well with many parties to deal with. The men who are sole income earners have double the stress to ensure that they are able to support the whole family. If the economy is bad or workload gets too much to bear, they still have to soldier on.

Whichever role we take on, we do the best we can. FTWM, SAHM, FTWD or SAHD.

            Funz:
Am going to be very blunt here. The problem lies not with your kids or your DH but with yourself. Whether you are able to let go.

Sorry if I have offended you.
You are so evil...but 我喜欢! :imanangel:

              Aiyoh, Nebbermind...

I know you meant \"I like it\" but not appropriate to use \"我喜欢"leh...

我喜欢 is used when you want to express you like/love Funz.

If you like what she said, then it should be, 我赞赏。

Or, were you really mean to say \"你喜欢....\" ?!

Oh, oh! this reminds me of the poem where this farmer and his wife feel the others work is easy. So they exchange roles and realise how hard the other works ... and want their roles back. 😉

Can some one help me get this poem? Its haunting me...

Think we should not complain and compare the roles we have. Each one has their own part to play in life and should do it to their best ability. What can make us proud of our own roles is to receive affirmation from others.

One thing I learnt is never to get into a comparative mode. Be it comparing your kids with others, job, marriage, role, spouse, house, financial standing etc…

It only leaves you feeling frustrated and lousy. The more we compare, the more we feel short changed and resentful. We have a gnawing need to be affirmed but we don’t get any and end up with low self-esteem.
