Cos the weight rolled over to me... 😆 I bf but didn't go back to weight before DC came along. Then over the years, metabolic rate slowed plus eating increased.

As DD had severe jaundice, I skipped all ginger stuff in my food. My mum complained non-stop. Say how to get rid of wind.
      same here...i don't eat ginger.
daughter had to go to the polyclinic for blood tests for jaundice...fortunately it wasn't high. i perspired like crazy each time i expressed milk and asking for food again. bcos my mum didn't bf, she was amazed at how i ate and ate but yet didn't put on weight.

I couldn’t bf my babies. Hence i could eat and drink anything i want. My fav is the pig’s stomach soup. Yummy. My first one was easy as it was natural birth. Looked super radiant after drinking lots of DOM. Second one was a terror. I was pale like ghost and my confinement lady worked very hard to put some color on my face.

aunt's close friend said drinking 1 bottle of DOM during the confinement is the best way to rejuvenate...of course not possible if bf.
both my kids natural birth but with 2nd one, i was very radiant.

with my first one, i didn’t rest well at all…son had cleft lip/palate, so half the time running to/fro KK…plus he stayed in neonatal centre for 5 days.

i had to go to KK twice a day to learn how to use the special bottle to feed him before he could be discharged. my parents went haywire too…and i am very grateful for them to help look after he was discharged.

I did not drink much DOM. But mum will double boil chicken with 1/2 a bottle of brandy. I took that. I breastfeed but was doing 100% express breastfeeding so if I consume anything alcohol, I will discard the next few rounds of milk expressed out. Very saiyang but no choice loh. Luckily I have over supply of milk, else lagi heart pain.

Porky is jealous. While you have over supply of milk, i had under supply. 😢

                      Mine over supplied too.

I had to express into a small bucket to discard every alternate two to three hours. 😢 The freezer was just too full!

I had to supplement for DD otherwise she'll go hungry. Not that I had a lot, but DS didn't like milk so had extra for DD to drink. By then DD was almost 3 but told her it's good for her... 😆 But my mum complained her freezer filled with packets of milk cos DS drink so little. Always envious of those with a lot of milk.

TA - if oversupply, don't throw. Ex-colleague donated.
