my younger bro and i are april babies...so she had to suffer strict confinement period twice. she didn't bf, so she ate lots of ginger and wear thick clothes to sweat it out.
This sounds depressing and worse cos I'm gonna 'suffer' soon..janet_lee88:
april to june is generally a hot period in Singapore.
my mum just commented on her confinement period when she had me.
all the ginger and not allowed to switch on fan. -
I cant help noticing there are more preggie women this year. Each time, I go out, i see at least 2-3 preggies. In my dept alone, there are already 3.

My confinement lady also said that air con is better than fan. I was asked to drink DOM each time i showered. I did not bf so was able to drink lots of DOM. -

wearing that PJ with long pants almost killed me...that was in November.
i bf, so the ginger slices were just sautéed and then removed from the meat.
daughter had mild jaundice...not so bad.
but bf is really a great way of losing all the weight from pregnancy...i was eating the whole day but didn't put on...24/7 bf. fitter than before pregnancy :imcool: -

I bf but didn't go back to weight before DC came along. Then over the years, metabolic rate slowed plus eating increased.
As DD had severe jaundice, I skipped all ginger stuff in my food. My mum complained non-stop. Say how to get rid of wind. -

My mum and In laws also said no aircon and fan must be directed against the wall, not blown directly at us. I felt like a 'sweating cow' as my DS was BF-ing frequently. Hubby witnessed and decided having a new baby should be a joy, not torture. A week later, he turned on aircon and dismissed any comments make by the elderly. He also helped to 把风 when I sneaked in to have a quick shower.bb_ mom:

Yes, TA.. no aircon, and esp no direct fan.
You're working towards a healthy and youthful and very much slimmer you in weeks. So hang on to that thought. :evil:
