For IP transfer, if across different curriculum, eg. From A-level to IB, had come across.
But the other way round, from IB at end of Year 4, into Year 5 A-level, is rare. Wonder if the transition, from IB into A-level, will be challenging -
Hi All:
Does anyone know whether IP schools will accept MTL exempted kids (medical reasons), but whose adjusted T-score meets the cut-off point?
Grateful for any advice.

Can go to that particular Non-SAP school website that you are interested in to check, or call up that school's General Office to inquire.
In some Non-SAP schools, sometimes they may request that u substitute (replace) with a foreign language (eg. French) instead, in lieu of your Mother Tongue, exempted.
But for SAP Secondary schools, Mother tongue (Chinese) is compulsory.
SAP schools will Not admit in any Mother-tongue exempted student. -

Sounds like IP schools are quite restrictive!
Primary schools, can Transfer readily.
But not these IP schools. So hard (difficult) to Transfer.
Hard (rare), maybe because they don't expect IP students to seek Transfer to another JC, since all IP students have already got an affliated Junior College awaiting them, in Year 5. So, they expecting IP students to graduate from their respective, affliated IP-JC, in Year 6.
Precisely because not easy to Transfer, all the more, one evaluate cautiously, before enter these IP schools. -

Hi mummyv
I enquired with AJC end 2017.
My DD was in IPJC school for Y1-Y4. She got in via PSLE scores not via DSA.
However I was told that no IP student will be admitted to AJC or any other JC to complete JC1 and JC2 unless it is via DSA.
If you do not have a DSA offer you cannot change JCs if you are in an IP affiliated school.
Did Principal of Anderson Junior College explain the reason behind why she said that, \"No IP student will be admitted to AJC or to any other JC to complete JC1 and JC2, unless it is via DSA ?\" -
Thanks for replying, guys! Ok, now it seems like it’s really hard to transfer to another JC out of the IP syllabus apart from the dsa path as MOE might not allow it… That sucks… Is the MOE’s ban restricted to a transfer to IP JCs or all JCs in general? Someone mentioned that Anderson does not accept IP transfer. So it is up to MOE and the JC you applied to to decide whether the transfer would be successful ? Are there any written or unwritten criteria for considering when transferring?

Maybe you can write an email to that intended JC you wish to seekTransfer to, first. At this point, no need to attach any results yet, but to assess the situation, first. See what the Principal of that intended JC, or Officer-in-charge of Transfer, can be a VP (Administration), has to say.
Tell them explicitly that you are currently an IP student (Non-DSA, entered Sec 1 via Psle T-score). State your reason (s) behind, to request for Transfer.
Whether or not got vacancy arise for Transfer, or whether or not an individual Junior College or MOE allow a Non-DSA IP (or DSA IP) student to Transfer at the end of Year 4 to another JC, they will reply your email. They will get back to u. Then, from their reasons written in black-and-white, through email reply, you will be able to know for yourself the reasons behind why can, or cannot Transfer.
If the Answer is Yes, got vacancy, allow Transfer to take place, quickly submit all your supporting document (certificates).
If the Answer for Transfer is No, repeat the same process, try another JC.
For IP students, there are various different type of Transfer, handled (treated) :-
a ) Transfer To a Non IP-JC
- from IP school (DSA student), to a Non IP-JC,
- from IP school (T-score entry, Non-DSA student), to a Non-IP-JC.
b) Transfer to an IP JC
- from IP school (DSA student), to an IP JC
- from IP school (T-score entry student), to an IP JC
