Hi, I sent my Sec 1 girl & P5 boy in Jan’12 but left in Jun’12. Both very hardly passed their papers. My boy failed all the papers since P2 / P3. Afther attending lessons in Beijing Language…nothing has changed & worst, both trying to find reasons to skip the lessons.

Then I sent them to another tutor in Jun / Jul’12. After the 1 term lessons (10 lessons), both passsed their papers all the way till the recent final exam. From 20-30 marks straight up to above 50 marks. Good start for just 10 lessons.

                  Dear Ladies,

Thanks for the feedback. Do Beijing language school teach tingxie for K1?

My youngest ds in K1 is already having problem coping with his weekly tingxie. If he goes to Beijing language school and there is tingxie, I think I'll be more stress teaching him to write.

Also, doh doh can you recommend good teacher for K1, P1 and P4 in Punggol?

                  Thanks!
Hi Heyhoe, sorry for late reply cos changed my phone n couldn't log in. My elder one is in P4 n she took up BJ creative writing last year but didnt like BJ cos teacher didn't really go thru all the helping words. This year cos she is in higher Chinese class n we can't teach creative writing so we enrolled her to HCL in Bishan. It was good but we felt group tuition might not be able to tackle her weakness in comprehension n composition hence we engaged a private tutor for her now.[/quote]

                  Hi Dohdoh,
You enrolled you dd BJ in Bishan now for p4? Initially which branch your dd go? Any feedback on BJ at punggol? Not sure which centre to enrol for Chinese. Seeking help here.
                  :thankyou:

my k2 son has been with BJ for 4 mths and I can see tremendous improvement in his chinese. he begin to speak to me in chinese, even nowadays he will tell me at home, dont speak eng, speak to me in chinese 😄

I love his BJ teacher v much, she had motivated my son and create alot of interest in the learning process. Frankly speaking, my son went for so many enrichment classes, I have never seen one that is so passionate in teaching. She is always the last teacher to dismiss the class, no doubt sometimes we are frustrated with the late dismissal but when she come out from the class with the students, she will start telling us what are the common mistakes our child make, what to look out for in P1 exam questions. she taught a lot of technics and how to spot questions and ans. I learned alot from her too.

I dont think all BJ teachers are good, I went to peek at other classes teachers, some give like v sian look, not very keen to teach..
The current teacher only teaches till K2 level which is why Im quite :yikes: Just when my son is showing confidence and interest in chinese he had to change to another teacher when he moves up P1.

The current K2 teacher only teaches P1 one to one class, exp but I think is worthwhile.

BJ lesson materials are more complex and is more align to P1 curriculum.
Fyi, my son has been with Tien Hsia prev for 2 yrs, no improvement at all. today teach, tom forget.. and he is frustrated and burst out when I tried to ask him to speak to me in Mandarine.
TH is more on memorising, he learnt alot of opps words like opp of right is wrong, but no concept teaching, my son doesnt know how to apply.

I believe utimately teacher is the most important not the branding of the school.
