Hello, I’m a student. I’m deciding between NJC and MGS IP for my second choice. My concerns about MGS are that I’m not a Christian, so I don’t know if I would like the culture and the ib programme offered instead of ip. NJC is their CCA achievements and whether it’s a better jc in terms of academics then acsi. Could anyone help me please?

My dd scored 252. I live in marine parade. Here are my choices keeping, IP, distance, language availability, affiliated to top J JC in mind.

        1. Cedar IP
        2. TJC IP
        3. SCGS IP
        4. Cedar O'level
        5. SCGS O'level
        6. Crescent girls O'level

        1. Can you pls recommend any more options? My dd's MT is Tamil.

        2. Which school will she most likely end up with?

        3. Her dream school is cedar. Is it necessary for me to put her dream school as her first choice for appealing just in case she doesn't get in?

        4. Is my order of choice schools correct?
I think she might end up in Cedar O level. But if Cedar is her dream school, and she ends up in the O level section there, she can always work hard and try to switch over to IP in Sec 3.

If you are concern with MGS culture, go for NJC. You will be in the new sec school for 6 years, choose the one you are comfortable with or like.

Cedar has ceased all sec 3 Switching to IP as of next year onwards.

@sujatha, I agree with jtoh that your DD may end up cedar ‘o’ level given the t score, but no harm trying IP as an option.

                      Dear Parents and Students,

                      Based on 2012 intake historical data;

There are in total 8 educational institutions which cater for students with a T-Score of minimum 250.

                      Of which,
                      3 institutions for Girls,
                      2 institutions for Boys
                      3 institutions for co-ed

approximately an annual intake of about 350 students per institution.

In 2013, 3 more institutions (IP) are added to the current above co-hort, primarily to ease-off the load (my personal purview in this subject matter)

Hope this would enlighten you guys n gals in your S1 selection for FY2013 new semester.

My peers used to say "if your T-Score is good, you’ll get to choose the seat, else the seats chooses you"

Your learning journey had just begun, do not fret if the start is not to your ideal, just persevere and put in your best works.

                        Hi,

My girl’s score is 236, is she eligible for St Nic?

The school has 2 codes stating "O" level and IP.

Does it mean that she can apply for "O" level?

                        Please help.
                        Thanks.
