The school groom & cultivate the girls grow up feminine, polite, teach the girls graciousness, lady-like femininity, project confidence in speaking / articulation, acquire good social interaction skills, learn how to grace the occasions intelligently, learn how to talk and hold conversations with wit, interestingly. will be great & wonderful if our ex Newton kindergarten alumni parents can step forward, help to verify those listed in 10(a) to (f). Especially if your child is currently studying, or had ever studied before in that SAP school, from (a) to (f).
Thank you very much, to all ex-Newton parents, for your kind, supportive feedback, to help compile a complete list of SAP schools our children go to after K2 graduation. Thank you for uplifting Newton kindergarten alma mater school spirit !
:thankyou: -

Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! -
hi genice,
may i know what is yr N1 girl’s pre-school ? Not sure if her current pre-school is the same my girl’s ex pre-school. -
phtthp… the one at dempsey, same one?

hi genice,
err ... Sorry. My daughter's ex pre-school wasn't St. James church kindergarten (SJK), the branch at Dempsey road !
perhaps you may ask octbride, over private mail (pm).
her child's ex pre-school N1 last year was SJK.
alternately, you may read her comments on page 19 of this thread:-

info sharing … for children with learning difficulty.
eg: speech delay, mild dyslexia, mild autistic kids.
the spectrum for above learning challenges, is very wide.
we just had our PMT last week. Feedback on our child’s individual learning progress in school, his learning attitude & behaviour in school, his level of self-motivation to learn new things, his communication skills, his level of social interaction, participation with his teachers, his peers, etc.
some of the pupils with above challenging condition studying in our pre-school are coping well. Perhaps their condition is minor. Hence, they are able to integrate into our Newton kindy mainstream. Most parents at the same time concurrently will send these children affected for external speech therapy improvement elsewhere - either at KK hospital or private clinical practice, at Early Intervention critical help centres. These children attend 2 kindergarten - the Early Intervention centre (3x or 5x per week) and Newton kindy. -
info for Newton K2 parents ... academic preparation for Primary 1
can obtain free download of semester test papers, from various good schools:-

hi N2-K2 Newton parents,
P1 maths can be a nightmare. Lots of tricky questions, require higher order thinking.
unless your kid is naturally gifted, or parents are very effective teaching them at home. 'coz nowadays, teachers don't really teach much in school. They can set difficult questions, explain a bit, but whether the kid really get it or not, it’s up to the child.
info … P1 Maths onwards.
every 5 to 7 years, MOE may revise Maths curriculum.
from 2013 onwards, could be new changes to Maths curriculum methodology.
