[quote=\"janet_lee88\"]I don't have a sweet tooth, but like Maxim mooncakes from HKG. As for snow skin, I'm very particular about the smell of the skin.
i like maxim's almond flakes!! -

I second that! They usually comes with an assortment. You can choose 4 different varieties (with Champagne being their hot fav) or juz a particular kind. My \"muz have\" is none other than the Champagne ones. I also like the different fruit flavoured ones but realised that each yr, they may intro diff flavour. there was one yr that has lychee, yum yum. Some like the liquor ones but not me.I like the fairmont snow skin mini mooncake selection!!
In fact, i just ordered!!

Hi CJS, have you visited the taka fair? Have not got time to see what they are offering this year...fattysuperfamily:
I personally quite like those from Li Bai, Sheraton Hotel...it does not tase so sweet...
Me too, I also like them ... the plain white lotus paste. -
Sheraton’s Li Bai, Orchard’s Hua Ting for traditional mooncake. Peony Jade for durian snowskin. And this year I’ve ordered (tentatively) from Cookie Museum their durian snowskin. This is their first year moving into the mooncake market. There are only 4 flavours on offer with green tea and durian being two of them. There’s also one with fig which I also like. Interesting texture.

Hang Heung has a new marketing gimmick for their mooncakes this year. The box containing the 4 mooncakes is a musical one...understand there is a nice music when you open the the cover 月亮代表我的心. This musical box costs $60.
Going to get 美心 mooncakes. Tried East Ocean and found the crispy yam delicious...yam is creamy and moist. The mini snow skin has a fragrant scent too. Bought 2 boxes to enjoy slowly in my fridge  -
