Anyone got nygh call for interview after performing arts audition? Thanks
-
Why r so many mainstreamers going for interviews under academics at NYGH? Thot dsa's for highly talented sportsmen/ musicians? Not so much for academics

Just to clarify.
The EESIS are awarded up to the top one-third of the total number of Secondary One pupils admitted to all Independent Schools (IS), based on their PSLE results. Last few years the COP for EESIS has been around 260/261.
Is d criteria u stated (1/3 of IP) correct or is it top 3% of cohort? -
Way2GO:
The criteria I stated is lifted word for word from the MOE website. It is top 1/3 of students admitted to all Independent Schools. Therein lies the confusion because how do you calculate those numbers right? Anyway, a few years ago, some clever kiasu parents discussed the issue and came to the conclusion that this criteria corresponds roughly to the top 3% of the entire cohort.

[/quote]Is EESIS automatically given to GEP students as long as they are promoted to GE prog in IP sch? In other words, don't depend on result?

Only if they are enrolled in IP schools and take the SBGE programmes in these schools.

If only one third is given EESIS, does it mean mainstream students who score 265 & above won't get it? & for GE student who has gotten CO fm RI, dun really need to score in PSLE & will still get it?

I don't think it's one-third of EACH school, but one-third of the total no. of students in INDEPENDENT (not IP) schools.
