I would have thought that a system compises of different things. These 2 donch look like system to me. But I am only guessing!!

A system is made up of different parts that work together to perform a task. e.g. torch, handphone, bicycle.
Don’t think paper clip or plastic bag is a system. -

so a paper clip with a decorative flower ornament is not a system?A system is made up of different parts that work together to perform a task. e.g. torch, handphone, bicycle.

if the paper clip is one of the parts that made up something … that ‘something’ would be a system not the paper clip … I hope I am right.
e.g a mechanical paper is made up of a different parts e.g. pencil lead, spring, plastic cap, plastic body part. these are parts of the systems that can be assembled to form a mechanical pencil (a non-living system) and this system is used to perform a task (write) -
sorry … the example should be mechanical pencil not paper … typed too fast.

FT said both are systems .. but model answer from assessment book states these are not. So if exam has such questions, who should I follow ? :?A system is made up of different parts that work together to perform a task. e.g. torch, handphone, bicycle.

then I think must refer back to the science text and see how a system is defined.
is this in p3 science?
