Zoophonics

Hi all, any feedbacks for zoo phonics at serangoon & Thomson? I’m actually looking at weekdays enrichment class probably zoo tods even though my son is 33 mths old. But we have intention to place him in full day cc come Jan next day thus not considering zookids, dun wish to subject him to changes too frequently.


Tried calling Thomson branch but the person answering the call wasn’t very helpful & din answer my qtns end of the day. I have heard of very food feedbacks for beauty world branch which will be my last consideration besides the 2 mentioned branches.

Appreciate any feedbacks & advice.

My boy transfer from Serangoon to Beauty world branch.


There is a great different because of the teachers there.. nevertheless, my boy still manage to improve on his reading tremendously after attending less than 3months in Serangoon. So.. Serangoon is okie but BW is much better

Anyone’s child in K1 or K2? How well do you think this school prepares them for Primary 1? There seem to be an awful lot of worksheets, which may give the apperance that the school is preparing them for primary however if they just copying and not really learning, I might as well be buying the worksheets from popular…


I am a little curious if anyone’s kid has moved from K2 Zoophonics to primary 1without a hitch… ?
GUG Kindergarten consistantly has feedback that the child is well prepared for primary, and they run the same program (with a few extras at GUG) as Zoophonics but they are triple the price so I am trying to see if worth it or not?

Anyfeedback is greatly appriciated.

My son was with Zoophonics for 4 years and he is in P1 this year. I would said that ZP has built strong foundation in his English and Math. His P1 FT feedback that he is strong in his academic subjects.

In his last 2 years with ZP, his teacher actually made them do lot of worksheets during class after a topic has been taught. We can expect to receive piles and piles of completed worksheets every Friday but imagine my son was never stress. We were very amazed but also quite concerned whether the child can take it, and his class teacher feedback that it was the class who asked for more worksheets!

In K1, they did on-the-spot spelling using phonic to help spell. That actual helps them mastered the skills of how to apply phonic when they come across new words. They are only given spelling list in K2 as some English words cannot be pronoun using phonic so they have to learn by hard. Overall, phonic did help him, he can now reads \"Geronimo Stilton\" independently.

However, Zoo-phonic has put less efforts in their Chinese language.

Please check out the branch you are interested carefully. My sister was interested in sending her kid there but was so turned off by the attitude of a teacher. She was loud and constantly telling a little girl off in front of my sister. In the end, my sister decided to go elsewhere.

Any feedback on the Thomson branch? I tried calling up and the lady who answered was rather "cold" and unprofessional in answering my queries.

Thomson branch is well known to have some customer service problem… if thats the case, i rather put my kids at serangoon central.

In that case, I shall not consider ZooPhonics Thomson!
