Just watching the finale, simply AMAZING what 12 year olds can whip up. Feeling really inspired…
-
Watched the show too and was most impressed with the kids. I like how they cheer each other on, even when they were competing against each other.

I’ve been following the series and am very impressed with the skill level of the kids. And they’re all so encouraging of each other too.

My kids followed the programme faithfully. Besides the kids’ impressive cooking skills, I told my kids that hard work pays off. Not only did Isabelle gets her title but along with the free travel for her family. On the other hand, even if you did not win, your consistent efforts will be noticed and appreciated, i.e. separating the two baking trays earned Jack three 11/10 scores.
To me, it was definitely a better watch than Star Awards! -
I watched it on cable and was very impressed. My kids were watching it with me and both declared they wanted to be chefs when they grow up. And then, both asked me when they will be allowed to attempt cooking some of the dishes that they like. DD especially kept saying the contestants are not much older then her.
It is amazing, some of the dishes these kids are preparing are complicated and they nailed them. -
Btw, for those who have missed the preliminary rounds (like myself) , i think they are airing it daily at about 11 or 1130pm. I was watching episode 2 last night at 12am. Jack should be in tonight’s episode.
In Singapore, our living space is small, most of us can barely squeeze in a proper oven in a condo for example, needless to say a double oven or to have a pasta machine, Kitchen Aid, blender that is place daily on the kitchen top. My dream is to have an island kitchen…
Tough for our kids to take up cooking seriously. But I don’t mind sharing the art of cooking with them like what is steam, poach, fry, etc. & natural food flavour enhancer like lemongrass.
At the moment, just simple baking with the kiddos. -
My daughter and I have been avidly following Season 1 on Okto. At first I was amazed and impressed with the kids’ cooking skills. Now I’m even more impressed because the kids have shown spontaneity, confidence without being arrogant, coolness under pressure, poise, sportmanship and support for each other. Wow! There’s a lot kids and even adults can learn from them. Quite rare, I thought, to have a children’s programme that is fun and also educational.
