Can anyone tell me what subjects are counted towards the GPA score? Are subjects like Aesthetics incliuded?
From my memory ....
Lang Arts, HCL, Maths, Science, History and Geo.
Asethetics and Comp Studies are not in GPA, just graded as A, B or C. -

A2 = 3.5
B3 = 3.0
B4 = 2.5
C5 = 2.0
C6 = 1.5
Assuming result is A1, A1 , A2, B3, C5, C6.
Overall GPA = (4.0 + 4.0 + 3.5 + 3.0 + 2.0 + 1.5 ) / 6 = 3.0 -

Same as any other school,
A1 75 and above
A2 70 - 74
B3 65 - 69
B4 60 - 64
C5 55 - 59
C6 50 - 54
D7 45 - 49
E8 40 - 44
F9 39 and below -
I heard from dd, year 2 this year would need to choose subjects combi before the end of this year. There would be a year 2 parents talk on 22nd May and the school would touch on this issue.

my ds did well for his mid year except HMT. -
Hi stressy, sorry unable to help on the enrichment class. Did you find out from the Chinese teacher where is exactly his problem? Incorrect use of words, out of topic, writing not fluent, not interesting enough, or …?

tks for yr reply. ds didnt do well in compo writing .一个品学兼优的人 he wrote a story on him, how he helps friends but teacher comments 记人不记事 probably want him to write his character instead of linkg a story to it. so i think ds still using his primary sch technique to do compo, he likes to write story to relate to title of composition. -

My dd said Mr Yeo read out some good compo he picked from y1 mid year exam. If she didnt remember wrongly, one of them scores 51/70.
DD scores C5, she says she ranks 17/34 in class for HMT, which means more than half the class get below B4. I believe school will moderate their marks at the end of the year, otherwise more than half of them wont be able to qualify for full promotion.
