Just saw this thread and reporting here.

DS going for his St John ambulance camp in school next week for 3 days.

They are asked to packed 5 shirts/tops, 2 set of uniforms, 2 PE attire, 5 pairs of socks , 2 pairs of track shoes, 3 burmudas/shorts and 7 underwear :yikes: :yikes:

Quite a few parents are wondering why is there a need for so much clothing

Suggest your DS packed as per they suggest. They are probably engaging in some games and activities which will require the kids to be dirtied, thus the need to change clothes 😉 .

And maybe you should consider letting DS bring some \"older\" and \"thinner\" tops (not too hot) and bottoms to the camp. Differentiate which he should wear in daytime and which he should wear in night time for sleep. In case the older tops come back in condition not fit for washing, you can throw them away without feeling too much heartache . Same goes for shoes.

wow..tt's alot of things to bring along...

The top must be school related and we counted we have exactly 5 sets of school related T shirts so he is bringing all.
Bottoms never specified so we just let him bring black colours bottom.
Some parents actually rushed down to ACSI or bibi baba to buy extra t shirts .

Oh btw heard that bibi baba has shifted to Far East Shopping Centre (Not Far East Plaza, is the one next to Liat towers)

That is a lot of clothes for a 3 day camp. So must they pack a sleeping bag too?

Yup you are correct, must bring sleeping bag too.

Hey, I thought I have a very important job already! 😉
To collect $$$ from your performances!

That one there is a \"piggy bank\" that can do the job - just place a carton box in the floor with a signage  .
And how can we waste a talent like yours to do such manual labor :slapshead: ? The \"chopstick sisters\" is our \"king card\" for performance lei - will generate much income! 😆[/quote]Oh yes.. we nearly forgot our very adorable & acrobatic PENda, who will perform her invincible panda somersault stunts...
Wow.. I could smell the $$$ already, as I was typing!!! 🕺

Today DD brought home a list of 120 谚语 and few worksheets of exercise for these 谚语.

Think DD must be blur :siao: as she said must complete all the worksheets and submit tomorrow!

First time see her teacher so on!

Ds brought home some worksheets on proverbs too - but that was before the March holidays. About 10 pages long. Some three words chen yu some four words. But he took days to complete - everyday do a bit - and had to check chen yu dictionary a lot. So to complete it overnight...hmmm...can be quite draining.

                    Yes, you're right.

DD said the teacher did not collect the worksheet today!

The 谚语 is various from 5 words to 14 words. DD knows close to half and need to learn and memorize the remaning.

Girls are girls, very obedient. Most boys may simply forget to do and wait for teacher to go after them.

At least your dd knows almost half. Quite good already. My ds i think only knows a small fraction of it . He is very weak in Chinese.

It's good they memorise the proverbs - will come in handy both in zhuo wen and main paper. I'm trying to encourage ds to memorise the proverbs - everyday at least five of them. Not just memorise but know how they are used in sentences.
