Hi jolim,
The book are not open to bookstore. My son are with MPM, once he submit the homework, it will be taken back by the teacher. I think this is due to patent right.

It seems to me that both MPM maths and Kumon maths are adopting the same ‘independent prob solving’ method, can someone tell me the difference between these 2 schools?
Thanks. -

I not too sure about the details but generally it is known that Kumon emphasizes and trains arithmetical skills instead of those thinking problem sums seen in our local schools. I guess Kumon's \"indpendent prob solving\" lies along that line...It seems to me that both MPM maths and Kumon maths are adopting the same 'independent prob solving' method, can someone tell me the difference between these 2 schools?

Is it true, on the post made by another KP member earlier, that MPM’s materials are full of grammer mistakes? 'Cos if so, wouldn’t that create problem in problem sum solving? After all, the questions are constructed in english, if there’re grammer mistakes, it’d def cause confusions.

Just to share, since no one has responded to my query.
I’ve called up hougang branch and raised my concern on this are with the person in charge. She honestly admitted this flaw and told me that they’re aware of this grammer problem(their materials come from Taiwan) and they’re already in the midst of revamping their workbooks. They’re currently at the workbooks equivalent to Pri 3 standard and thus by the time our kid progress to that level, all shld be fully revamped. -
Dear Parents,
I am a new user to this portal and will like to know if anyone has tried the MPM at Tiong Bahru. I will appreciate your feedback of it, if any.
Thanks

Has anyone tried the branch at Queenstown? am thinking of moving my DD from another branch to that.
The classes are conducted in a room within the library which will work well as I can then spend some time in the library browsing w/ my DS instead of spending time waiting outside her classroom…but wonder if the instructor is good at handling the class? -
anyone try the branch at buangkok? is it good? any comments please.
thanks!

Gwen:
Seems like their 'centres' are all just a small classroom rented from somewhere/place? The hougang branch I heard was also just a small classroom rented from a 'place'('cos am not sure what that 'shop' is)Has anyone tried the branch at Queenstown? am thinking of moving my DD from another branch to that.
