All About Getting Priority Registration

Original Title: Other way to get before phase 2C
We not qualify to any phases before phase 2c. Would there be other way to get into earlier phases. Ex. Principal is a family friend, would there be some cases that principal can endorsed a P1 applicant eventhough he/she is not his/her relative? Etc... -

If you have enough money, you can donate a hall or a studio to the school :). But seriously, don't try to do anything under the table. Consequences can be quite severe for the implicated. -
Ofcourse, i will not do under the table :P... I don't have money also to donate a hall :P...

Let's not even go there. Besides giving the kid a headstart, lets give ourselves a clear conscious too. There are tons of parents who can't qualify for earlier phases, and using such connections deprives those who qualify for Phase 2C that seat.
There is more in life than using such means to get into any school.
If your kid is not due for P1 registration anytime soon, you can explore doing PV. If not, try getting your kid to top his/her class, then opt for a transfer based on good results. -
Ya those who are cash rich then can always give generous donations then enter into ealier phase.
Ha.ha maybe like what jedamum said, perform good then get transfered over at a later stage. But it would be another environment change for the child. -

Actually, most schools go over the limit to cater to demand. So principals are allowed some flexibility in deciding who gets to join the school, but they are generally very careful in how they handle these exception rules since they have to answer to MOE and the school board. This is especially true in autonomous and government-aided schools which have a large part of their funding coming from other sources. Government schools will obviously have less flexibility.
The answer to your first question is therefore, yes - if you can reasonably quantify to the principal what your value is to the school. It could be in the form of financial aid to the school, or the provision of a service that goes way beyond the normal PV activities - eg. running CCA courses for them, etc. -

No priority P1 registration
EDUCATION Minister Ng Eng Hen on Tuesday turned down a suggestion by MP Lee Bee Wah (Ang Mo Kio GRC) to give priority to parents with three children or more when registering their kids for Primary One.
This is because 'primary school admissions should be guided by educational goals, wherever possible', he said.
Dr Ng noted that up to the 1980s, priority admissions into schools were used to support population policies, until they were de-linked in 1992.
He explained why. 'Primary school admissions should be guided by educational goals, wherever possible.'
So for instance, priority is given to children of old boys or girls and members of school advisory committees and parent volunteers 'as it strengthens community and parental support for the schools'.
'The current scheme reflects a careful balance of the various factors that serve the educational interest of the child and the school,' concluded Dr Ng. -
2nd child already under phase 1. I don’t understand why AMK MP still ask for priority for those with 3 children.
Unless 1st & 2nd child different sex and first child is in same sex sch.
Or 3rd child different sex from 1st & 2nd child.
A better request would be priority for Citizens over PRs. -

My guess is that they are seeking that at the time of first registration (not subsequent registrations under Phase 1), priority be given to families with >2 kids. -
If you can squeeze out 3 kids within 6 yrs, you deserve get some priority.
