Via DSA, so still need to log in & submit a nil return ? :scratchhead:
Rich dad poor dad:
Can I confirm if we do not want to take any 3rd lang, we do not have to do anything by 27th Nov ? DS's school called him up yesterday and ask him why he never submit. TIA
Are you on S1 posting or DSA? If S1 posting...the website that you make your school choices will have an option for you to choose Yes or no for 3rd language...
My DC also DSA and does not want 3rd language, his school called me up too. -

Hi,
I don't really understand the appeal process. Can someone expert here explain?
I understand that for appeal, the 1st choice is very important. What happens if we put 1st & 2nd choice same school, but different track eg. 1) CHS (IP) 2) CHS (O LEVEL) & both didn't go thru. My quests are :
1) Do I need to indicate which choice I'm appealing since it's from the same sch?
2) When appealing, are we appealing to go into the sch or prog? (eg. IP or O level)
3) Will CHS look into the appeal for both IP or O level track when I make the appeal ?
4) Do I have a high chance since both choices are from the same sch? (only different prog). :?

I second this statement. SMSS is not as academically strong as the top tier schools, it's not shabby either, and definitely no worries about values and character.
based on experience and anecdotes, SMSS takes care of the girls very well, school with great tradition - oldest girl school in SE Asia. -

And I think they have aircon classrooms too coz they are next to a very busy road!

I think Nan Hua is the more likely outcome at the end of the posting exercise compared to RVHS. Nan Hua is a very good school too, just that it's not IP.My DD scored 246 + HCL merit. Knowing that there is a slight drop in COP we plan to select in below order
- River Valley High (it is a challenge 251)
- Nan Hua High 245
- Crescent 245
- CHIJ Toa Payoh
- St Margaret
- Chung Cheng Main
Pls share your view -

Just for discussion.
If dsa co is accepted, the student cannot change school as moe has instructed schools not to entertain these requests.
What if the child rejects the co but finds that his psle score is lower than he expected and now wants to àppeal for the school to take him in? Is that allowed? Does he stand a good chance? If so, would future p6s be better off rejecting co and then if get better than expected can go to a more resource-rich school and if not as good a score, go appeal to the school which originally has given the child a co?
That seems to be happening … -
Stressedupmom:
From what I know, once you have accepted the DSA, you cannot change at all. Once you have rejected, you are back to the student pool and follow what the rest are doing, i.e. to select schools based on the T-score.Just for discussion.
