Anyone knows if the P6 prelim results of students are close to the scores they get in PSLE?
Actually, prelim result is not really close to the PSLE result from what i know students normally score better in PSLE -
Hi parents!
Those who are looking for a student care service provider, go and visit Kowabunga! Education Centre at Bukit Batok (near Gombak mrt). In fairness, they have good teachers, friendly and qualified ones. I want to put my child there. My friends’ children are there and they have good experience. I’ve gone there myself to check. Good customer service -
Hey buttercup!
I totally agree with you.
My child is currently in Kowabunga! Education Centre and I am satisfied with the programmes and the services so far. My child obtained full marks for his spelling every week all thanks to the teacher’s assistance and guidance. At least that’s one pressure off my chest! Personally, nationality doesn’t really matter to me as long as she has the qualifications and she educates the kids well, both holistically and academically. The teachers and staffs in Kowabunga! are very warm, caring, and they are very concern about the kids. Attributes you can hardly find anywhere else. These people lend you a helping hand anytime without hesitation. In addition, Kowabunga! has fun and interactive activities everyday. Most importantly, my boy enjoys going there he refuses to be fetched sometimes!
In conclusion, I am a happy parent! -
Hi fivestarmum,
You mentioned nationality, do you mean the centre is not run by local? Or there are limited resources for mother tongue?
TIA! -
Hi baobei,
The centre is run by locals. Just mentioning that I don't have a problem with teachers who are not local unlike some parents who will consider this factor before deciding. The thing here is that as long as they are trained, qualified and experienced, I'm good.
As far as mother tongue is concern, of course there are chinese and malay assistance and guidance with regards to school work or revisions. Not to forget a native speaker who is currently doing their english reading programme.
So yeah, hope this answers to your questions. -
Harlow all..
I am new here...
My DS is in P1 this year too.. He enjoys a lots and likes to go to school... During the March school holiday, he was so upset that he keep asking me when can he going back to school.. hahha..
By the way, does your DS/DD bring back any homework? It seems that there isn't much homework to do. He absent from school during CNY and surprisingly there isn't any homework for him! Just a bit worry on that... Share with me your thought on this.. Thanks parents.. -
No homework for P1 if remembered correctly. I could understand your worries, those were mine too especially we heard of children in schools in this area having lots of homework.

Precisely!
I even heard that in some school they will start exam in term 2.
But not in SAPS… -

Hello Everyone! I'm a newbie - I registered a long time ago, but forgot all about it until now
I'm a Singaporean mother living in Japan, and I will be visiting Singapore with my son in mid-July. Son will be at St. Anthony's for a month ~ while he is there, I'd like to volunteer in the PSG. Does anyone have the name and number to call? I'd really be grateful to know who I can call to get in touch with someone in the PSG of St. Anthony's Primary :please:
