Did you realise that the kids actually had a little assessment worksheet while they were with their form teacher during the orientation. My girl told me she did a 20-question paper on maths...

Really?? My boy did mention, but I thought it was just to keep them entertained.....

Apparently, the worksheets were marked and scored on the spot.

My girl said that beyond the worksheet, they were also asked random questions like multiplication and simple division like 10/10... whoever knows the answer vcan raise their hands and answer...

I am thinking this i their way of getting a first feel of where each kid is... i guess the student profile would also help them know the kids better...

Hi, my boy is in Pri 1G this year. He has just gotten his report book & his results is not too bad, avg abt 80+ 😄
I am actually quite happy with his results cos' he didn't have any tuitions and I only try to push him to do some past year papers from other schools around 3 weeks before his exams.
Can anyone tell me how to teach my son on his english grammers? He is not too good at it.

there are a lot of assessment book which can teach the kid the rules of grammar.

Reading would also help where it comes to writing sentences and stories.

                Dear parents

I am just interested to know why you choose fairfield primary school for your kids? I am contemplating to enrol my girl in 2011 but I have not heard any good feedback from this website.
is it a neighbourhood school after all?
                how about the teaching standards?

Hope to hear some opinions from you.

Hi, I chose Fairfield because I was an old girl there. It is a government-aided school, not a neighbourhood school.

                    😄 Perhaps....

but neighbourhood schools ain't so bad eh? For me its near my house, and provides the Christian background that is important to me.

My boy is going to Fairfield next year, he is keen to join the badminton club.

May I know can P1 students take CCA? He is also interested in the chess club.

Fairfield's modular CCA is only opened to students who are P3 and above, something that I am not too happy about.
