Will anyone be interested in forming a group tuition for P6 Science with my son at the tutor’s place along Tampines Street 86? I have requested the class to focus on open ended questions.

Tutor is charging $180/4 weeks (1.5 hr each week)

The class is scheduled to be on Fridays at 5pm- 6.30pm.

Kind of worry although lives less than 1km
Last year dragon year is way oversubscribed
Can anyone advice other than popular year , for normal year, usually within 1 km still need to ballot?

Hello. I have registered my child in Poi Ching in Phase 2B. I am aware of the higher expectation since PCS is a SAP school. However, i would like to gather some feedback on the school's expectation of the child in terms of command of the language in both EL and HCL. For the incoming students, are they expected to be able to read fluently and independently and be able to spell and write in both languages? Would a child has a lot of catch up if he can read (but not fluent) and is still getting used to spelling and writing in K2?

Year of registration matters.

If you are registering in 2020 (for P1 in 2021) - PV and GRL closed. Wait for Phase 2C.
If you are registering in 2021 - GRL closed. PV submission before Feb 2020 (look out for it).
If you are registering in 2022 - GRL maybe open, you will need to be appointed as a GRL before 1 Jul 2020. Look for PV in 2021.

I’m considering to register my child to Poi Ching school. May I know how’s this school doing? What is the pro and cons for this school? I am comparing Poi Ching and Red swastika. I’m prepared to join the PV but I unsure which school I should go.

I got rejected from the PV application but i really keen to send my boy to this school. not just because we like the sch and it is also the nearest! sigh.

If you can accept the risk of balloting outcome, go ahead try your luck

apply under Phase 2C, if your kid is SC staying less than 1 km from Poi Ching school.
