Hi Zojiptr:
Zoji, may I know the fees for Bethesda? Are there other marists there too?thanks.
Hi, monthly is $270. Yes there are other marists there.
Address: 112 Serangoon Ave 3 Singapore 556109. It on the 4th level. Tel:62834419
I will be paying BSC a visit soon. Can you share what is the process like after the kids get off from the bus that picks them up from MSHSP?
My DS goes to TLC & one of the main reasons we chose TLC was due to location & that the SC staff met the kids in Canteen for a simple lunch, hop into the bus for TLC & later shepherded into TLC on Level 2. -
My son also got punched; not sure if it's the same boy we are all talking about. DS also spoke about a particular boy who's been using those words as mentioned by several mummies from 1E.
I'm monitoring the situation and would most probably drop a note to the FT if required.
One of the mummies correctly pointed out thou, that these boys are pretty 'forgetful'; i.e. forgetting soon abt what happened and play together the following day. I reckon tat's what happens to my DS ;). Actually, it's a good thing tat they bury the hatchet and learn to be forgiving, or resolve conflicts among themselves. -

We can complain and complain about the cost and excessive training for badminton but ultimately, the choice is still ours to make if we want DS to continue or not. I heard from DS that a few of his frens have quit the CCA.
Coach and MSHS' stand is clear... if not happy about the training etc, you can withdraw. There are many others who want to join this elite club...
Trouble is, DS likes this sport so we have to let him continue...
Hi Cherrygal, which level is your boy currently in? I certainly agree with your view. However, on personal note, I felt the school should manage external vendor and not the other way round. By increasing the times of training and changing the mode of training fees, I see no reason why school must conduct selection process at P1 then since the school team will only be selected in P4. To me, everyone can join this elite cca since we are paying for it. It's up to the coach to identify the potential players in P4, be it a once or three times training.
Hi SSmama, take note Sunday training is extended to the public as well. Our boys can attend the make up session during Sundays. To me, I see the coach has no intention of pro-rating fees. -
Agree, VVJJ. But if you compare this club to our CCAs during our time, it is now going the professional route. Our CCAs used to be coached by either our own teachers or some half-past-six coach. Definitely not FTs like our current coach. They even have badminton exchange trips to China. So I guess, the coach may have convinced the school about the need for the additional training sessions if they want to be or remain the badminton powerhouse.

Mauricemum,
Ms Carrissa is Mrs Anthony, same person
DS was kicked on the legs by his classmate for no reason and he told his FT, also got brushed off. So i told DS unless he's being kicked by same person repeatedly, better tell me and take note of his classmate's name (hope this is the right way to teaching him..). DS also the forgetful kind, forgot the next day. -
For badminton training on Sat, may I know where is the training venue? At the Pri or Sec school? At which part of the school or level is the badminton hall? Thanks
