I was thinking part time, but DH doesn't think it will be of any use, since I'm already giving him my attention after work every day. But I hardly call the 1-2hrs quality time given all the focus on incomplete homework and unmarked assignments.
Single income usually results in more stress for the family.
But at the same time, every family would like to spent quality time with the kids.
It is a choice if you can find or are open to some home business, or part time work, whichever suits you best. -
Hi all P1 parents…
Just got the maths SA1 result…not too happy with it as my DS got 34 / 40 for Topical Test, which drag his marks down.
I am just curious whether it is common or he’s below par.
Need some sharing… Thanks! -
You can email his teacher and ask for class average. Or wait till Parent Teacher meeting. Was he careless?

He is in P1 and this is his first exam and he has scored 85%. I don't think you have much to worry about.Hi all P1 parents....

Focus more on his ability to understand, comprehend rather than the actual marks.

Results are just the means to an end. -
Don’t worry too much as long as he knows the concepts. If he lost marks due to carelessness (not becoz he can’t do it), you need to work on correcting his attitude rather than worry about whether he’s above average or below for this test. If you feel he’s weak in his understanding of the concepts, then coach him. He still has many tests to go before the final grade is calculated. Still can catch up.

Thanks all for the advice.
Cheers for the long weekend ahead! -
My son is going to P1 in 2015. I have 3 schools to consider…Pei Chun, St Andrew’s and Maris Stella. Can anyone advise me on thes schools in terms of sch environment, teachers and maybe standard?
Thanks. -
Dear Parents, I understand that Maris Stella is a Catholic school. May I know if non-Catholic or non-Christian child is required to attend prayers or services or bible studies? Thanks!

No they are not required to attend anything.
The prayers or services are outside of curriculum time, like early in the morning at 7:05am.
