Marymount Convent
-
I’m thinking of applying for Marymount Convent for my daughter when she goes P1 next year. I have 2 questions for those who have already enrolled their daughters:
1) I noticed that the girls wear black shoes as part of their uniforms. Are there rules that we have to buy the shoes from specific vendor? Or can we just buy black sports shoes (may have a white trimming at the side of sole)?
2) what is the percentage of students who are catholic? As my family does not have a religion, how can we better prepare our daughter before she enters primary school (besides bringing her to church)?
Thanks in advance! -

If you do enrol her in MC, orientation will cover your questions and you can also ring the school admin.

I don’t think you need to prepare her by bringing her to church. It is a school like any other but the church is involved at times in activities that includes all students from all backgrounds and religions. It is a common misunderstanding that mission schools exclude or make students who aren’t from the same faith feel out of place. If anything, they are becoming one of the few schools that exposes students to diversity -
Thanks for your reply Henson! Appreciate it!

Hi I will be applying in phase 2C to MMC. Could anyone tell what time the bus comes for pick up around AMK central ? And if there is transport available for the students after CCA?

smimum, check out the school website. There is a link to the school bus which you can get contact to the bus driver serving the area you are staying at:

It's great TEL Havelock will start from 2021. However, you will need to walk about 10min, 800m. Considering P1/P2, the walk might seems long for them.

From Caldecott station, just cross the road at (Toa Payoh Rise) with the green man crossing, there is a sheltered walkway that leads up the hill to a side gate, which is open in the mornings & at dismissal times. Plenty of students take this path. I have seen teachers even guide the students during first few days of school.
