Hi, anyone staying in the east but has daughter studying in MCS? Could you advise on the commute and if it is advisable please? Thanks.
Nearest mrt is Caldecott station and requires 3 mins walk from mrt station to school by using the new side gate only accessible to Marymount girls.

Thanks. Am wondering if there's school bus to and from school and what time. i'm worried that it is too far because i'm staying at loyang. But i'm choosing MCS because of dance and tennis.

Can call up school bus operator to check. But may not have school bus to Pasir Ris (loyang), so far at extreme east

Yeah very far. having second thoughts. Not sure if my decision is the right one. But not many good Catholic schools that offer Dance and tennis for my daughter. In a dilemma.

Why choose Marymount so far, just because of Cca ? Not wise. Unlikely to have sch bus go your house. Even if have, can your girl wake up 5.15 am every morning so early board sch bus , for next 6 years ?

Can consider enrol under Phase 2B, since u are Catholic, to CHIJ katong convent. KC primary, is affliated to Secondary. At least, have affliation, better than nothing, as your girl fall under AL PSLE system

Once gotten into IJ KC, u can seek Transfer to IJ Toa Payoh.
But again, check if got school bus from IJ Toa Payoh to your house, because there might not be, unless u willing to drive her to school every morning, but how about the coming back home journey ?

If got sch bus, Transfer within one IJ school to another is easier, because come from the same IJ family, same IJ culture, same IJ values embraced .

              Between IJ KC vs. SAC,
              go KC primary, better.
My friend’s daughter just had 2019 Psle last year, at SAC primary. She regretted sent her girl there (SAC) for past 6 years, because the Teachers in her (P3 to P6) class …

Transport to and from school not so much of an issue as i can fetch her also. but I'm not so keen on KC. so i'm exploring the other IJ schools. next option would be IJ OLN. Not sure which is better. KC vs OLN.

Don’t waste your daughter’s time unless it’s her personal choice to go Marymount.

between CHIJ ( KC vs. OLN ), if these 2 Catholic Girls' schools about same distance from your house in Loyang (Pasir ris), can check their Cca, see which school offer tennis.
Dance should be common in both schools. However, note that Cca is Not compulsory in primary schools.

Marymount is out, because too far from Loyang (Pasir ris), extreme far East, unless u willing to shift house closer to Marymount
