Not possible for the driver to take a video, when driving at the same time getting frustrated. I think the school should just feedback to them nonetheless. Today was okay from 1-2pm.
Maybe you should have shared a video with the school, they are quite prompt in providing feedback to LTA and for resolution. Don’t know why the construction workers have to direct traffic. Not their job and they are probably not aware what the yellow box is for. While the north south corridor works continue, the better route would probably be to enter and exit from Toa Payoh Rise.
Zeal mummy\" post_id=\"2033537\" time=\"1628324893\" user_id=\"58173:
Yesterday there was a terrible jam at the left filter /t-junction towards the school at about 1045-1115am. The construction workers were tasked to help to ease traffic but they directed the cars to move into the yellow box instead of keeping it vacant for turning vehicles! Ridiculous!

Yes I have encounter before too.
All the schools in and around the NSC are affected by the roadworks from time to time - PHS in YCK, EJC in Bishan etc. I’ve gotten delayed a number of times on Marymount Road, especially at Marymount Road / Bishan St 22 junction. -
Phewwww avoided balloting for those ‘1st tier’ & ‘2nd-tier’ schs we considered…All have to ballot. Too many sheep kids

I’m curious, what are 1st and 2nd tier schools? -
I just passed by the school. There’s a notice saying the Marymount Road entrance has been closed since 17 July 2021.
The new entrance is now around the corner, at the beginning of Toa Payoh Rise. A new side road has been created just for the school.
The Street Directory app and Google Maps have not been updated yet, but you will probably see it soon. -
Hi Parents, had some encounter over this yr’s P1 registration exercise and would like to seek insights to the administration culture of MCS…
1. Very late prep for Phase 2B - poor planning and lack of PV engagement?
As compared to other schools in the vicinity, they had quite a late decision on how many volunteers they wanted and what the PVs shd be engaged with. This leading to some PVs even not being able to complete the required hours, perhaps due to lack of pro-active comms. This is in comparison to another sch which I monitored who had 100% of PVs completing the required hrs.
2. Dis-organized?
I had to follow-up a few rounds for my PV application…
3. Lack of relationship building with Parents?
I’ve tried calling to check in on my chances for getting into Phase 2X before registering. The response is "We don’t know for now, we don’t have any details… Heard that may need to ballot already." That’s not quite helpful, for the anxiety that we had to deal with. As compared to another sch which I’ve dialed, who puts me straight to the VP, and advised that balloting would be required for which category (SG 1-2KM and at X% chance), and which is a lot more comforting…
Hate to see a school as an organization but there’s a lot of relevance in this description too. Hoping to hear some insights that behind the loving teachers, the school overall system is ok? -

Read last 2 paragraphs.
She described her child as a bright and perfectionist girl who had not reacted well to a highly academic environment in preschool. Marymount Convent would be a better fit for her, said Ms Ang.
“She is already very hard on herself. I want an environment where she is not going to focus on one benchmark to measure herself by,” said Ms Ang.
The mother did the right thing to consider which school is a better fit for her daughter. MCS has a strong PSG support. Join their PSG.
MCS girls are known to speak Good English and articulated. They have girls from their alumni working in parliament, MediaCorp etc.
MCS has an air-conditioned school hall since 2019. The P6 girls took their exams in the air-con hall in that year. If I am not wrong, the funds were raised by the ex-girls from their alumni. Great support from the alumni !
If you are wondering where the girls go to after PSLE, without an affiliated secondary school, read on to find out.
NYGH, RGS, MGS, CHIJ Toa Payoh,PLMGSS, SCGS, TKGS, Cedar Girls, Crescent Girls,St Margaret ,CHIJ Katong Convent, CHIJ St Nicholas Girls, CHIJ St Joseph Convent (these are the girls’ Sec school). Hi all
How is the traffic to MCS in the morning? I usually see a long queue in the mornings opp MT A.
Is there a nearer exit from TEL to the school?
For sch bus, anyone has experience to share on pickup/Drop off timings to Woodlands?
