Gerri_mummy:
Hi Mummies, for those who have successfully got a place in MCS, see u all on the orientation!! Orientation is on the 14/11/2014 @ 2pm

Welcome Gerri_mummy!
Note to 2015 P1 parents, from past experience, I would advise you at least eat something before coming for the Orientation with your child. Last year, both my spouse and I skipped lunch or breakfast and lunch. (Couldn't remember). I thought the canteen would be opened for us to get something to eat when we arrived slightly earlier. But it was closed because in the morning, it was Speech Day and afternoon, it was Orientation. Remember to eat and be punctual as it starts punctually. -
Sembgal Thank u for the feedback and info abt MCS. It’s very helpful for parents with DDs entering P1.
I’m pleased to hear that MCS has caring and nurturing teachers . I always believe most important are the teachers . Good teachers will motivate and bring out the best in our kids.
Do other primary schools have remedial lessons in P 1 ? Or only MCS?
Think remedial lessons are a good idea for kids who need it.Its always better to build a strong foundation early before the schoolwork gets harder in later years.
Will also improve overall academic of school. -

Hi Callie,
May I know how to go on doing the transfer?
We can still write to the schools to ask for transfer?
quote=\"cantbearit2\"]
ok, this is very hot from the oven.... I just received a call and am offered a place in Pei Chun!!!!!!! OMG, what to do??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Didn't do anything for Pei Chun that's why was so surprised when I got the call..
U mean now u get an offer to join the school ?
-

You need to secure a place in this P1 registration exercise first. Thereafter, you can put down on various schools' waitlists. I've heard of instances on this forum where there'll be good news around December time, or even when school term already open and the call came in March / April (happened to my friend).Hi yes. How to get offer to transfer school, after gal has been allocated a school.
Hence, do secure a place for phase 2CS in a school you're happy with cos your waitlist school may contact you in the midst of P1 semester (or they may not call at all). -
Hi All, I have registered my DD at Marymount Convent in phase 2C. :

Welcome Augustine! :rahrah: Can you share what made you decide to register your girl in MCS during Phase 2C? -
For p1, are there semestra exams? Or just normal homework for the girls?
thanks, wondering if my girl can cope in p1. -
Hope those who wants to apply for this school do it early to avoid balloting… and not end up balloting at this phase… cos i am one of them… JIA YOU! it may not be the first choice… but better than being allocated by MOE…

if your outside 2km, it don’t matter if when you apply right? The 1 and 1-2km will still have priority.

Yes, I agreed. Pls registered early. If more than 2km need balloting I will not take the risk at this phase. This is just too stressful.... -
