Hi all,
I am staying at Pasir Ris and hoping to enrol my 2007 child in Poi Ching thru PV. I saw from past records that doing PV is rather safe and no balloting. But if still feeling uneasy on the what if scenario if cannot get in. My hubby is ex-student of Pei Chun Public school in TPY but it’s quite far and not logistic wise to attend. Any advise which should I go for? -
totsboy:
What u can do is to register ur child under 2A in Pei Chun first. Then on the day of 2B registration, go to Poi Ching to see the situation. If no balloting is required as per past years' trends, then u quickly withdraw ur application from Pei Chun and register in Poi Ching. If balloting is required, then u would have to decide whether u wish to take the risk.Hi all,

Hi all,
I'm new here and my DD will be registering P1 this year. I'm a church member of St Hilda's but we are living >2kmfrom the school...base on past trend can anyone adv what are the chances trying to get into this school?
cheers! -

St. Hilda's required balloting for those in the 1-2 km category last year. Prior to last year, it conducted balloting either for those beyond 2 km or cut off at the 1-2 km category.Hi all,

In short, your girl's position may be quite dangerous since you are more than 2 km from the school. Better to have a backup plan. -
Oh...but as a Church Member I get to be in P2B and if my DD did get it....I will have to try for P2C right....
With 2 chances....will it help :? I am really worried.... -

You can forget about trying in P2C if your girl doesn't get into the school in P2B. Historically, balloting was conducted only for those living within 1 km.
You won't even get a chance to participate in the balloting. Hence, the two balloting slips for Singaporeans will not help you at all. -
Hi all,
Could you share some advice on Gongshang Primary’s standard now - especially in the areas of curriculum and character development? Also, does the school currently offer Chinese as a Higher Language?
Thanks!
