Before this IP thingy , I've always wanted to place my gal in MGS. But the idea of skipping \"O\" levels is too attractive from my perspective, so IP will have a higher weightage in my decision making process.

I've always wished that MGS - especially those in the SBC program will somehow tie up with ACS(I) in year 5 and year 6 to do the IB program and thereby skipping the \"O\" levels. 🙏
sorry to side track... Is ACS (Barker) a givt school or independent school link with ACS(I)?

I was told by my son in ACS(I) that boys taking CL will take 'O' level in year 4 and those taking HCL will take 'O' level in year 3.

Madam KS, that's what I heard too. A friend's daughter who is taking HMT in a neighbourhood school has to take her 'O' level Chinese this year and she is sec three.

ACS Barker is a government school but is affiliated with the ACS primary schools. 😄

NJC requires the students to stay at the hostel for a few months every year I think. That discouraged some of my friends from letting their dd apply for NJC because they were uncomfortable with the idea of having their young girls stay at the hostel with older boys, even though accomodations are separate.
            Hi,

How many months do the students need to stay in the hostel ?. Does NUSH requires them to stay in the hostel ?. TIA.

I think it is for 3 months for njc… for NUSH, it is not compulsory because I used to have some students from there.

That's cool. My gal would love the idea of staying in a hostel.

Thank you for your reply. Is it 3 months per year starting from Sec 1 ?.

CSC, do you know if the IP schools do the same? Whether students (whether CL or HCL) at IP school take 'O' MT at sec 3?

Hi Mandarin, I know ACS(1) has IB and 'O' path, do they practics the same for CL and HCL. Wonder what is the practics in RI , HCI, RV, DHS and NJC?

I believe the same applies to both IB and 'O' path, which year you take the 'O\" level CL depends on whether you are taking CL or HCL.
