      RI sports trial today ?

      Anyone taking part ?

My friend says his son finished his sports trial, GAT and interview already.

Hi, just to clarify, your friend's ds went though both sports trial and interview or just 1 of them? My ds only went for sports trial and GAT

          Funx3:
Just Received Email for RGS interview on coming thu 28 Jul.

Her other Gym Mate from another Sch also receive interview invitation on the Same Day.

In the Email, it is mentioned :

\"In order to allow your daughter to be comfortable and perform well in an interview, she will be in the company of two other applicants to be interviewed by a panel of 2 - 3 interviewers. The interview session will take about half an hour.

Please be assured that your daughter will be given equal opportunities to be heard by the interviewers. Please encourage her to respond to questions posed as sincerely and spontaneously as possible. There is no need for her to present any prepared speech.\"

Finally, the Last stage of DSA ....

:congrats: to Funx3 and all the best to your DD!!! :rahrah: :rahrah: :rahrah: :celebrate:

One boy in the RI interview today answered:

"I am applying to RI because my parents want me to."

That is the irony of it all.

His reply probably represents many other boys. But because he said it, ....

Maybe he really didn't want to apply, but his parents *advised* him to, maybe even said he'd be foolish not to at least *try*. So he might actually *resent* his parents for their advice. I know that if it were my current p6 boy, if it was not something he wanted to do, he'd literally protest and not even go, even if you try to drag him. He'd say \"if you want it so much, you go by yourself\".

My son had his RI interview today.

I was fussing over his crumpled school uniform at the waiting are till I saw two of his classmates come in wearing PE attire, and the so so clean kind, and I sighed and just let him be.
Today quite a few groups with 2 candidates only, my DS was in one of them. So the two of them had to talk more.
At the end of it, they said the usual study hard for PSLE thing.
Funny thing is they also reminded the boys that if they really want to go to RI, just put RI as first choice even if they are on the wait list only.
As they say there is nothing to lose. If they have a CO from elsewhere and not successful for RI , they will still go to their CO school.

With this I take it as they were hinting to the boys that they are on the WL.

Any one elseโ€™s boy got the same remark from the interviewers ?
