          KCQ:

Hi all I'd be really grateful if you could tell me more about DSA...although I'm a student I think I'm really kiasu. hahaha. So I applied for NYGH but no call for interview or anything. I applied via academics as I have High Distinction for NSW English, am a prefect and CCA captain, topped my class for CA1 and overall which is 2nd best in NYPS and for CA1 and overall I topped the cohort in English.

However, 2 of my classmates have received calls and went for their interview although actually, in my humble opinion, I am better in studies(they also applied via academics). They have not gotten any good results in any contest and are about the average students in my class. My friend also applied the same way and is 2nd in class and topped the level in SA1 for Chinese and English but neither did she receive a call.

The suspense is agonising!!! Could anyone help? Do I have a chance of getting CO? Thanks a lot and sorry for the inconvenience caused... And once again thank you so much!:)

          Hi KCQ,

Wow!!!! You've got impressive academic and leadership achievements. :salute:

I agree you should try emailing NYGH to enquire. With some many phone calls to entertain each day, NYGH is probably telling everyone the sch is \"Still processing\".

Wishing you all the best. :xedfingers:

Thank you! πŸ˜‚ Though my mum called the office again, they said to her that chances of hearing news now are, \"slim\". Well, I guess that was quite nerve-wrecking but we still have PSLE:) Well all I can do is cross my fingers...does anyone know if all results are out already? Thank you everyone who has helped me so graciously once again!:) And congrats to all those parents' whose children have gotten COs and WLs! :rahrah:

          :thankyou:
          :congrats:

KCQ- understand from NYGH staff who answered the DSA line that if not called for interview or no news yet does not mean upfront rejection for mainstream pupils. Not all mainstream pupils need to go thro intervw. So, believe you could be one of those who do not need to go thro interview. πŸ˜‰

Thank you!:) Thanks for your faith...crossing my fingers... πŸ˜“

With your impressive record, I am sure you will make it to a very good school, be it via DSA or PSLE results! Sometimes, we do not exactly know what the DSA schools are looking for (I've seen students with more impressive results not getting offers, whilst others have gotten. It's hard to predict!). What is impt for you now is to concentrate on your PSLE and achieve good results to get into your dream school. Keep up the fighting spirit - the PSLE marathon is not over yet!!!

Hi all, I'm new to this forum. Does anyone know how big is the WL at NUSH? Some parents have shared that kids on the NUSH wait list are given a CO eventually. Any parent with experience in last year's DSA can share?

                        DD is on NUSH waitlist.

                        thanks-in-advance πŸ˜„
