      Dad fm East:

πŸ˜‚ OT abit. Was having lunch with bro-in-law yesterday and he mentioned his nephew from TaoNan went to RI for DSA interview recently and met a young 'WH'. The story goes like this - Nephew and 2 boys were asked if they do read the paper. One boy from ACS say yes and told the panel he followed the Presidential Election closely. Was asked the reason and boy answered his grandfather is running for election. You know who the GF is, right! πŸ˜‚

Er... who huh? So this boy is defecting from ACS to RI.

Not just to RI...also, NUSH, HCI and SST. He applied for 5 DSAs...hehe...inside source.

curious … so far between NUSH and SST, which one easier to enter ?

any reason why some parents prefer NUSH instead of SST, or vice versa ?

both these 2 Secondary schools main focus is to concentrate in grooming up P6 kids to become future Engineers one day, am i right ?

besides groom up future Engineers, what other career profession(s) will these 2 schools groom them into, once they enter from Sec 1 onwards ?

        Thanks for info.

I hear that NUSH is modeled after the Bronx High School of Science in New York. Main aim is to produce scientists and researchers. And maybe like Bronx High, one day we may produce a Nobel laureate!

              Hi

Yes, nush groom more towards scientist n researchers. Whereas SST more towards engineers. My nephew is at SST year 1 n he really enjoys school. SST needs to take o level.

since he is the grandson of potential President, any school he apply will definitely welcome him with open arms. He is a super VIP candidate !

Why? Does he put \"Tan Ah Long (grandson of Mr Tan AA - President Applicant)\" on his application form or something???

I just called nygh today. No more Dsa positions available for my dd.. Sigh.. Didn't even get called for an interview.

The good news is, njc ability test results not yet out. So there's still chance for my dd. Furthermore, I heard non-gep students got equal chances with gep students too..I certainly hope this is true.

                    Good Luck, cindylauper.
Hope U Receive Good News from NJC.

Thanks, keeping my fingers crossed.. :xedfingers:
