      Funx3:
      verykiasu2010:

      it is good to clarify

the collective experience of parents in this forum point to the confirmation of the fact as per MOE policy on DSA : as long as the candidates meet the entry requirement for the course of study admitted to by the school via DSA.

Agree, Best to Clarify if CO is not Specific before acceptance.
      :celebrate: :celebrate:

CO is very specific. \"As long as the PSLE result is eligible for the express stream. \" If the student can't read / understand this, then they don't deserve the place

        Tania:
The para which you have quoted is very ambiguous... they mean nothing in term of COP...

Why is that so??? Cos ministry/sch has to protect themselves... so they can flap like loti planta.

        :boogie:
Tania, as vk2010 says, the collective experience of the parents here points to schools honoring the DSA offer so long as the child meets the entry requirements to Express Stream or whichever course specified in the CO. It isn't wise to accuse schools of rescinding offers or MOE having clauses to protect themselves unless you have evidence to suggest otherwise. Lots of people read this forum and misinformation and unsubstantiated rumours won't be beneficial to any future DSA applicants, their parents or the schools.

there is no COP in the first place for the DSA, nothing ambiguous. the eligibility of express stream is 188

Having a specific number/T-score indicated in the letter is the best option and way forward to avoid being ambiguous and everyone is clear abt the COP and not based on assumption like 200, 188 or 246…

Why do you keep mentioning 246? There is no COP of 246, written or otherwise.

[/quote]Haha - why no \"LIKE\" button, har? hehe.

I also have letters like that. I'll show the \"ambigious\" sentence later. But that HWA CHONG letter is very \"CLEAR\", not ambigious at all.

                    hi jtoh

U hv not hear abt COP of 246, it does not mean that such figure does not exist... i believe the reason why letter are drafted in such a way is to give the school more flexibility in selection of students... if they achieved their quota......

Letter with a clear COP isn't it better and clearer to the kid and parents??? They know what to expect and also it will help them to work towards getting a better T-score...

Rather then letting the parents or kids search the web just to find out what the standard para \"tat the kid being able to qualify for the express stream\" and translate it into T-score.

I am trying to safeguard the interest of parents in this DSA process.

if you can’t produce evidence of 246, nobody is going to believe your rumour mongering
