        I am thinking to change our maid from Indo to Myanmar. I am expecting that Myanmar salary is lower. However, the agency told me that for Myanmar maid with experience, the salary is $480 and above. If no off day, $70 more!! :shock: Really? Then means Myanmar maid is actually not cheaper?

          Yes, is true. Their salary are not cheaper. However, be prepared, even though experienced, their cleanliness and performance in housework are not better than other nationalities. Only good point is majority not so outspoken. I have employed philippino, Indonesian and currently Myanmar maid. Make me most angry is Myanmar maid. You can repeat 10 times and they still forget your instructions. You must be very very patience with them. Of course there are some exceptional good one.

            Now, all maids are about the same salary. Myan maids grate on my nerves the most. They don’t seem to have a grasp on what service means, what a maid does or how they should behave.

              Myanmar maid are not cheap in fact. Actually they prefer to have higher quality of life. Also, they know how to use computer .

              I feel that indo and philliphinos maids are better if you will like a maid do purely household chores.

                    No. Just sharing cost saving info.

                    You may check with the agent on your preferred QC requirement if you need
                    Pros of having experience maid as compared to new maid I feel are;
                    1. Communication
                    2. Less stressful and less time consuming to teach them your preferred method of doing household chores.
                    3. Able to assimilate to the household with ease.
                    Cons of it…;
                    1. May have change employer frequently for whatever reasons which is difficult to seek the truth.
                    2. Use hp all day with earpiece on and have bf then fail medical exam if pregnant.
                    3. Not as obedient as new maid.

                    After all, they are human too just like how we seek greener pasture.

                        http://www.straitstimes.com/breaking-news/singapore/story/more-maids-myanmar-running-away-20130407

                        The myanmar maids' overseas recruitment fees are high and if their salary is not at a certain standard, they runaway like what is stated in the news above.
