Also some are night birds while some just can't keep awake in the wee hours of the morning, which makes them unproductive when they try to curtail their sleep.

So they have to learn to accommodate one another and try to contribute as much as they can within their own capacity.

      True.

Even now, my younger girl in sec 3 has been learning this sort of thing. She's one of those who sleeps early, so she will do her share (she says often more than her share because she starts earlier), then go to bed! Others will contribute their bits later in the night. They will overlap or meet in school some of the time too, of course.

Thanks, but the info on the website is vague! Could you give a couple of examples of topics and what exactly the kids have to do? Like how much and what type of written and oral products? How big is a group? I'd just like to have an idea of what is in store.

        hi

        see this http://erpz.net/resources/project-work/

        an example http://www.scribd.com/doc/76289881/A-Le ... ns-Example

This example would have been shot down by dd's pw teacher. :yikes:

There are 5 in a pw group.

Thanks! This gives me a rough idea of what to expect. My older girl is the kind that needs more handholding, so although I definitely don't intend to get involved, I just want to be mentally prepared to give some support and suggestions if necessary.

Application to JC and Poly is via O level results. I don't think NAPFA is a pre-requisite for entry to JC and Poly.

JC1 Parents - are you all planning any June holiday vacation for your kids? Or they are too busy to go away?

One more week left before JC reopens... some JC conducted exams while most has mid-year as it opens next week. My DD passed all subject & we went for PTM... Form teacher takes GP & result was B , so he just asked my DD to understand from teachers what went wrong with subject with lower grades
What are the main challanges getting thro' AABB ... I dun think it is happening... That means have to plan for overseas Degree 😓

Some kids need time to work up their grades - I know I did! The grades your daughter got this time may not reflect her eventual grades.

How did the rest of the cohort do? If the papers were set more difficult and most students don't do well, then there's no need to be too concerned.

My DD’s CA will start when school opens. She kept reminding me not to expect good grades. If can pass, its considered very good.

                      I faint.

Looking at my daughter's daily assignments, I'm not sure she will get any passes at all. I'm using this as a test case so that she can see how badly she can do if she doesn't work harder and smarter.
