Sure, her clinic is called Orchard Clinic. I know their are other doctors there, so ask for Jessica. The phone is 68844123. I just went back today for another pair so that I can wash one sometimes. The price of $144 is because I have star card from toys r us, otherwise is $180, but is still cheaper than others even without star card… I wonder why?

New update for this podiatrist. My cousins daughter also went for treatment from dr Jessica for \"pigeon toe\" walking, which is basically walking with toe pointed in. After just one month of treatment her legs are straight and doesn't need any more treatment. Why did we not hear about this profession before?? My cousin spend so many hours and $$ at KK hospital and no improvement for 2 years, then stop because it was no use one. They should start a podiatry school in Singapore, very good proffesion but hardly any around!

My son has flat feet too. We didn't know till he complained about pain in his knees after Nafas run. Surfed the net and came up with this of footwear (for boys and guys, I think) suitable for people with low arch and flat feet.

We actually brought our ds to an outlet at Nex and he was diagnosed with mild flat foot. We didn’t get their insoles as sort of wonder how professional are they. So good to see the orchard clinic contact above.

At this moment, we actually bought him a insoles from mister minit. He slot that in his shoes all the time and said it felt more comfortable than before. We got him shoes from ecco and geox and he said some of them with the arc also provided him with the support.

Thanks for the recommendation. Brought ds to Dr Jessica today. What we thought was flat foot (the shop at nex told us he is mildly flat foot)... was not flat foot but something else..... She recommended some exercises to build his muscle as a preventive measure.

Using the star card, consultation was free. She was also not the type to push us to get this and that, so we left the clinic without having to pay a single cent but got loads of practical advices.

But after discussing with dh (who wasn't there), we subsequently went back to get her to custom made a insole for ds. He is wearing those off the rack now and she said it's fine so long as he finds it comfortable. But dh mentioned that it's after all off the rack so custom made is better. In addition, the customisation pair cost around $174 (after star card discount + casting cost). This is relatively cheaper than the specialised shop at Nex which wanted to charge us $370+ and that guy appear more like a salesman rather than a professional. So pls, if anyone has feet problem, pls make an appointment with Dr Jessica. Think she is better trained than those shops at the mall who claim to fix feet issues and charges are very reasonable too (even though she is located at the rolex building).

Thanks for this recommendation. Dh was tempted to get those insoles at Nex but I was alittle apprehensive and told him to seek 2nd opinion. I am glad we did that and for me to come across this recommendation. At least he is professionally assessed. :thankyou:

Is flat feet a condition that the kid is born with? or is it something which can be prevented? I have a colleague who told me both her kids have it and its due to wearing shoes without proper support when they are younger. Not sure if this is true or not…

Yes, indeed she is giving free consultation with star card. In fact, we left after seeing her.... yes it's really free. I felt really wierd to walk away without paying a single cent as she run ds through some tests on the machine and gave us lots of advices on how to help him. She also recommended some sports shoes and gave us the contact where we can get discount. But the scariest part is that the shop at the mall could have given us the wrong diagnosis by saying that ds is mild flat foot when in fact he is not but have another condition... :yikes: If we didn't see her, we would always think he has flat foot.

Was just that dh thought her insoles is custom made and priced very reasonably. Those shops at Nex quoted us $370 but Dr Jessica only charge $174 (after star card disc), it is custom made and she said it's lasting unlike those off the rack ones. In fact, she didn't \"sell\" us the insoles upon hearing that we already have something off the rack and my ds finds it comfortable. She also commented that as kids' feet are growing and those custom made soles are not cheap so she usually ask parents to get off the rack... But if the soles can indeed last the child for 2 years (eg. with growing feet), I think the price is really reasonable since off the rack is also not cheap (eg. $60 each pair and we don't know how long it can last/ is it well fitted???). So we actually made a trip back to her clinic again just to get the insoles done.

I had a chat with her when she was doing the mould for ds. Podiatry is rarely heard of in Singapore. Even with ingrown nails, people would usually go to a GP. Also for this flat foot thing, if not for this forum, we also didn't know who to approach. So we probably \"fall prey\" to those shops at the mall and they are probably not as qualified to perform the assessment as they appear to be salesman iso doctor???? So by tying up with star card, she wanted to create more awareness (especially for children) and I thought it's really good as early detection is always better as we could potentially do something for prevention/ improve the situation. Think she is getting popular through this forum as she mentioned that another parent also went there upon hearing some feedback from a forum.

But this is like a godsend for us who are facing this issue.
