I think what Irene has done is totally noble!

If a wife loves her husband and family, she will forgive him no matter how unfaithful he is, and she will continue to stay with him as long as he loves her, but treats all the other girl friends just as play things.
The problem is that the girl friends may think otherwise, in Jack Neo’s case has caused a stir in his life.
The man must try his best to overcome his temptations, and his wife has to be supportive.
So if a man has a tendency to have extra marital affairs, he should have an agreement with all those who beds with him, that it is just for fun, and no strings attached, and take all the necessary precautions to prevent sexually transmitted diseases.
Of course, if he loves his wife very much, he should be prepared to face the music if she finds out, and risk losing her and his family.

Although i salute irene for her nobleness, i must say i probably won’t be like her, given the same situation.

Definition of 'noble' is very different in my dictionary.

This is plain nut in my eyes if a wife can accept her husband to play with other women as in \"no matter how unfaithful he is\". What a bad example to set for children... This kind of man unfit to be the father of my kids and I will throw him out as fast as I could so that my kids will not follow such a bad model and witness how pitiful their mother is when staying in such a marriage...

It is society that decides what is a good or bad model.
Maybe Irene does not feel she is pitiful?
Since her husband has apologized, anf she loves him, the marriage has hope.

In a way he did sort of promote him. In fact, I knew about his first wife cos one of my friends knew him during their NS days. She showed me some of his army and family photographs. That was about 30 years ago. I think they had a son (if my memory did not fail me). I was :!: :? when the media keep portraying him as a happily married man with a wonderful wife and 4 kids especially when this second marriage doesn't tally with my memory. Being in the know, I was :? If this saga didn't happen, guess nobody would talk about his first marriage especially now that someone in another forum claimed that JN divorced his first wife and even refused to see her after she was hospitalised due to a terminal illness. In the Chinese newspapers, he expressed regret that he didn't act responsibly as a husband and 'walk with her till the end'. Why didn't he? He has no choice to admit this 'failure' cos there's evidence on his first marriage. If WC didn't expose this affair, I doubt he'll regret anything. All this just show what type of man he really is. He professed to be a christian but going to church doesn't make one a Christian just like going to a garage doesn't make one an automobile. I know that as a Christian I'm warned not to judge but I have to state the fact. Jesus said \"I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.\" Luke 13 v 3. The question is: Did JN truly repent? Pastor Kong Kee and Tan Ee Peng will have to work on that. I'm :x :x cos impressionable young girls are involved although some may argue that they are no angels themselves. Whatever it is, how can he prey on these young girls? Is he saying that they are asking for it? Have he asked himself how he would have felt if this happened to his 19 year old? I'll pray for his family. They really need a touch from God. The least he could do is to apologise to his wife, family and WC.

Happened to know someone who knows Jack neo during their secondary school and said that he was already a womanizer. May be his wife has kind of mentally well-prepared, or rather know it is unavoidable, therefore still forgive and accept him.

I relate to those stories that I heard when I was young, such as a filial child will strip himself on his mum's bed to let the mosquitoes bite so as to prepare the bed for the mum with the intention of his mum would have lesser bites; loyal officials who will die for their useless emperors; etc...

I will never train my kids to be like this...

Irene is just another human and human being is classifed as high eq, medium eq and low eq....sorry to say probably she belong to the low one and jn is controlling her 'very well' in such that though jn has an affair she also scared of losing him... :torchme:

If it is true, then he was just 20/21, probably too young and immatured to handle that sort of crisis.

But looks like he hasn't matured much in the last 30 years either... :roll:
