Best school uniform?

Just wondering,
for lower primary school, in general, how many days in a week that a child is required to wear PE attire to school? -

Yeah, and prefects at Crescent wear tie...
That's funny. Cedar and Crescent's uniforms are both shirt with pleated skirt right? Except Cedar's has a tie? -
mommyNg:
Lol I went to Cedar n my sister went to Crescent!

Cedar skirt is more A-line, while Crescent skirt is pleated n more flare. I remember my sister worked really hard to be chosen as a prefect in sec 3 cos she wanted to wear a tie, just like me :).... We once thought of exchanging tie for a one day, but no guts to act it out cos both our schools had super fierce discipline mistresses :yikes: -
hehe i guess girls would enjoy having sleeveless uniform, while boys would like having shorts for all 4(or 6) years.i especially like the RV style of boyβs uniform.

But my dd's friend succeeded in getting indelible calligraphy ink all over her blouse and skirt. Don't know whether she was using apron or not.[/quote]Same goes for my DD even though I gave her a long sleeves apron that is more foolproof compared to the one from the school. Her uniform including PE t-shirt look totally awful now.
actually the top of the white blouse is double layer, and for calligraphy, they have apron - just for the calligraphy !!verykiasu2010:

Could it be their heritage? I think there are a couple of Chinese schools which have all white uniforms too right? All-white is very impractical. Especially after a Chinese calligraphy class.
I have friends who decided not to send their girls to NYGH because of the uniform.
Don't ask me how she does it... :skeptical: -

Then I was like your sister... I didn't choose SCGS because of its sleeveless uniform (I was ultra conservative!) even though I lived like 5 minutes walk away...I remembered my elder sister told me not to choose SCGS after I got my PSLE results because she said the uniform is sleeveless.....
I kinda regret now, looking back, so I told myself that my kids' (future) choice of schools will not be restricted by the uniform.... -

Guess one way to get around it is to reserve one set of uniform specially for calligraphy days.

Did you ever regret it when you had to register your dd for P1? (Assuming your have a dd)

If I have all girls, I probably would have chosen SCGS over her current school, but fact is, I have a DS too, don't want to go through another round of P1 registration headache when his turn comes. We are staying within 1km of SCGS, and if we had wanted it, we could actually get in during P2B for DD.

Maybe you can ask me again 6 years later...
