VitoRelax:go in via Namly Ave past the guard house turn left to where the tennis courts are. It's on the second floor of the swimming pool complex just opposite the tennis courtsI heard HCI's restaurants near the swimming pool are open to public.
How to get there ?

RE: Higher Chinese in P5 - To opt or not
verykiasu2010:
GEPers will not be given bonus points when applying to SAP schools even if they score distinctions in HCL; non-GEPers will get bonus points when applying to SAP schools if they do well in HCL. This was made known to me by both my sons' teachers last year and this year.Chirunner:
Both GEP teachers told me GEPers don't get bonus points when applying to SAP Schools
that is strange ! you mentioned your kids in NYPS ? we are talking about kids having HCL - Higher Mother Tongue (be it GEPper or not), will get bonus points when applying for SAP schools, NOT about GEPper per se -

COP is the same but no HCL bonus points will be given to GEPers. My sons’ teachers told me that- I’ve already been told by 2 teachers in NYPS I don’t think they both got it wrong.

RE: Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)
Sounds like a great start Sunbird24:-) if he’s never allowed to manage himself how will he ever learn? I’m sure he’ll surprise you pleasantly if you let him try and are around to help when he flounders. All the best! It’s really tough knowing how to strike a balance, and it’s tough not to worry even after you’ve gone through sec 1 n PSLE once or twice. I have another boy in sec 1 now in another school and I’m still trying to figure out the system there n can’t help but worry a little too. N this year’ll be my third consecutive PSLE year and I still worry cos every child is different so there’s no one size fits all approach.

I haven’t been to Prince a lot, think I had hor fun which was not bad. There’s western food too. It’s sort of like Han’s. Heard the pies are good.

RE: School Bags For Sec 1
heutistmeintag:
takashimaya basement has some very nice neoprene notebook sleevesThanks, Chirunner.
We have decided to tentatively let her carry her current Sierra backpack (not much cushion, but light) and then we buy her a notebook cushion case. I think it saves cost and the bag is also slightly lighter on those days that she's not carrying the notebook. -
