      It’s called Arcadia Restaurant.

Tried a Hong Kong style cafe at Taka think it was Xin Wang can’t be sure now n the noodle soup was just like instant noodles. Hence my impression of HK style cafes is that they serve instant noodles at ridiculous prices.

My son only attended an interview n wrote an essay. Perhaps the requirement has changed for 2010?

      Popiah's not served on Sundays

      What about Saturdays ?

yes it's served on Saturdays. From NJC you can also walk along Hillcrest Road past Greenwood till you see Hillcrest Arcadia the condo on your right. There's a nice Chinese Restaurant between Hillcrest Arcadia and the other condo Arcadia that has good food. We like to go there too. It's along Arcadia Road. If you want to drive you'll have to get onto Dunearn, turn left to Adam and left again onto Arcadia Road n drive to the end.

Burger Shack's at King's Arcade opposite Starbucks.

Sounds like I won't be going to Xinwang anytime soon! Don't they serve stuff like Maggie Mee at cut throat prices?? Thanks for the review Andaiz!

    • RE: Higher Chinese in P5 - To opt or not

First off the curriculum is already enriched, and most make it to IP schools even without meeting the cut off. In RI n HCI there’s a separate track for DSA for GEPers. In HCI they don’t need to take any GA test or tests for math, English n Chinese. Once admitted to IP schools they will get the EESIS or equivalent scholarships.

However, GEP’s not a guaranteed ticket to success cos these kids have to show not only aptitude but also attitude. I suppose MOE recognizes these kids are different n though gifted are typically asynchronous in their development hence may not perform consistently in mainstream exams but may be brilliant in their area of specialty/interest n it would a shame to let them fall by the wayside if they don’t meet the PSLE cut off for these schools. Hence their performance and attitude toward enrichment during the GEP years are very important.

    • RE: Any Chinese Physician to recommend? :)

You can try Dr Liu Huei Chuan 90038258. Very nice Taiwanese lady who’s a trained Western Doc as well as tcm.

I’ve also read about onions by the bedside being good for colds. Haven’t tried it for sensitive noses but should try.

You can get an iPhone without paying anything if you subscribe to a high usage plan. It’s ao competitive now with all the mobile service providers offering the phone. Go online or call to see which one has the most suitable plan for you.

    • RE: Surfing the web on mobile phones

I love my iPhone n surf practically everywhere on it even at home cos it’s so convenient it’s with me all the time. In fact, if I didn’t have it I wouldn’t be checking my emails or even be on this forum half so often. VitoRelax is right about the htc touch tho. My cousin in law as one n he prefers his to the iPhone. I don’t know if you’ll have access to as many Apps as the iPhone tho which has a dizzying array of all sorts of Apps - you can download loads of stuff for free like bus routes, foreign language instruction, dictionaries in all languages, games, books etc. Taking pictures and uploading them are a cinch with it. It’s got a great music player too. You can watch movies n YouTube clips almost anywhere. You’ll never be bored waiting anywhere. Data plans are so cheap now.
