hi little doggie,

I just called PCF and they only have vacancy for 3-4.45pm slot only. I will have to go and register soon.

      Thanks for your advise!

      hi,

I am thinking of enrolling my gal into jurong west Nursery 1 at Blk 662D or Apple Tree playgroup at 667D next year.

      Any feedback on these 2?

      Thanks!
Erm, what has next year being year of tiger got to do with chances? :?

If u are referring to birth rates, then those registering this year would be borned in 2003 (year of goat), and those doing so next year would be borned in 2004 (year of monkey).
Yup...2004 is year of Monkey and heard that birth rate for 2004 is lower...

      Hi

Always knew that Rulang is no doubt the best school in the west zone, so you can imagine the joy when I got my son's number picked during balletng..it's like strike lottery!

Anyway, it is end of term 1 now. My boy is coping well and he has mostly A, if not B for his term 1 ratings. Probably because of the preparation we gave when he was in K2.

So seriously, I donno if Rulang's standard is high or the early preparation works. But, I found the homepage of Rulang really sucks...It is not updated frequently too, in addition, some of the home work given are also very normal standard...that definitely lower my previous high hopes and expection of Rulang....
Lucky you! Balloting for phase 2c?
Any idea whether doing PV for Rulang would guarantee a place?

    • RE: Eczema or Atopic Dematis

      Hi elle,

Thanks for sharing this…such a pity cos my gal is quite active in nature…
i guess we have to put in more effort in the moisturising…i took my gal to see a GP who specialise in dermotology and so far his medication has been quite effective…he did not give any mosituriser but recommend that I try those over-the-counter one that is suitable…so I am using Topicream moisturiser (which smell great also)…

but i try not to give her any medication and medicated cream unless necessary cos she is so young…basically is moisturising twice / thrice daily…more effort needed to take care of this gal compared to my elder son who luckily do not have any eczema till date…

    • RE: Eczema or Atopic Dematis

Hi…my 18 months old daughter started developing eczema after a bout of stomach flu…I have been trying to monitor food triggers or weather conditions etc…so far nothing conclusive except that egg seems to make her itch more…and she cannot sweat a lot…

I am wondering whether swimming is a suitable exercise / sports? Any experiences on this to share?

      Appreciate all the info... 😄

Would you know whether there is any open house for the schools?

To be honest, I would not be able to commit a lot of hours as PV as working full time (as well as weekend take care of my baby girl) and the fact that my hubby travels extensively during weekday.

If I could qualify for Xingnan without PV, would be great!

    • RE: [Jurong West] Primary Schools

      hihi,

      i am staying:

      1) within 1 km from West Grove
      2) within 1-2km from Xingnan
      3) outside 2km from Rulang

I agree that the culture of the school is very important.
As I believe that character development is much more important than academic achievements.

It seems that I need to do PV if I want to get into either of the school due to the distance and popularity.

Tohwei, what exactly do you do as a PV?
      Are you working as well?

Haha…sorry for the confusion…my son is born in the year 2004…

anyway i check with Rulang primary, their registration for PV will close in 30 June this year also…

considering between WG and RL for PV (or even both! if I have the time).

      else…Xingnan…

      Wat is your views?
