      hi

is SJI and SJI International PE attire the same?
I happen to pass by SJI International this afternoon. Their students wear white shirts with green pants/skirts.

      hi dazzle,

i check with hubby regarding servicing...it's so heartache to see that thing collecting dust...he bought it online.
No harm trying the Romba supplier here to see if they will service Romba bought from elsewhere. I will pm you the tel. no.

do U ladies use gadgets like robots to help with the cleaning?

It can at least lessen the burden, similar to your washing machine, dryer etc.

That stupid Irobot which hubby bought is now sitting one corner collecting dust...hubby insisted buying it earlier...only worked very well for ONE year and now it is dead after 10 min despite changing to new battery.
He even wanted to get scooba...I told him NO WAY. Then he bought that hanging type of iron. Again it is not practical.
      男人的钱很容易赚.

This is the first time I hear bad review about Romba. Maybe you are just unlucky. I bought one for 3 years already and it is still working well. Every year I bring it back to supplier at Upper Cross Rd to service and change battery. I have a few friends who bought it and were full of praise for it. One of them who lives in landed property even bought an extra one to clean the upstair area so that she does not have to carry it up and down the house. Perhaps you can bring it to the shop for servicing. If I remember correctly, it cost $50 for servicing.

    • RE: St. Joseph's Institution

Last night I was very impressed with the school, the way they organise the orientation camp for the students and parents. Everything went very smoothly. My son was in high spirit at the end of the evening and has so much to say of the camp. It is unusual of him to be so chatty. I can see he feels very much at home in SJI. What’s more, I am pleased that prayer is always said before any presentation, the way a Catholic school should. I am really happy for him.

Yes, from what I know. Perhaps parents of SJI kids using school bus can drop a line here to confirm.

    • RE: All About Preparing For Secondary One

For me, I decided to let go to a certain extend. Last two years I have stopped checking his bags for memo from school and wanted him to show me forms which I have to sign. Even in cases where I already know there is consent form to sign, I pretend I don’t know and wait for my son to show me 🙂 Some times it is good to let him face the tongue-lashing from his teacher.

Now that he is in Sec school, I will stop reminding him on things he has to bring to school. But, I will still keep an eye on his school work. Not the holding hand style but just to ensure he does not procrastinate. A friend told me as kids enters teenage years, it is important to make sure you know who he mix with. I totally agree to that.

    • RE: No cure to allergic rhinitis but it can be controlled

My son has allergic rhinitis too. Used to hear him struggling to breath with block nose every night and feel sorry for him. Have to use Symbicort everynight. Though I used the anti mite pillow case, it doesn’t seem to ease. However, as he grows older, the allergy seems to ease a bit. Hopefully it’s the same for your kids.

Anyone knows how to read the time-table ? For example, for Monday, there are two rows with different subjects for the same timeslot ? :? Is it alternate week ?
I guess it is alternate week.

CAT High O, 2nd choice. Friend suggest me to appeal...

ur DS's T-score of 252 is incl. of HMT?
252 cannot make d cut for dis yr's CHS IP.
2 options IF he(not d parents hor) really wants CHS:
      1. Appeal with d full works - there's still a chance at 3 points off with all d movement in d schools, or
      2. CHS's pioneer batch only starts IP in 2015. As I understand it fr sch's inputs as of now, there is NO differentiation in 'O' n IP syllabus in CHS, maybe only on pace of teaching instructions.
Ur son can still go on IP track in 2015 if he does well in S1 & 2.
      Gud luk.

My neighbor's son got 250 + 2 and was accepted to CHS IP. Perhaps you have a good chance if you appeal.
