I bought from Energie, they are the agent for this machine. Have to use every day, one eye 8 minute, so both eye around 16 minute. Energie provides quite good aftersales. They will assess my gal again 3 months later. Hopefully this machine works for my gal. She is complaining nose painful due to weight of glasses.......sigh.......

      Hi

You may go to this website eyecollege.com.

I still cannot tell if it is effective coz my gal only starts using 3 weeks ago, have to use for at least 3 months. You can call this lady, her name is Rain Su, she will be in a better position to advise you. She had been very patient with me as I asked her a lot of questions before I decide to buy.

      Hi,

Just came back from the HPB refraction clinic this afternoon. Right eye 100 degree; left eye ok. Does anyone know whether is 100 degree considered serious or just slightly myopic?

Hi dilemma, what's an Eye Relax machine? How does it work? Has it been effective so far? Thanks.

Thanks, dilemma. Did you buy this from Popular?[/quote]

      Hi

My gal just went to HPB last month and she has to be on glasses. Her reading is 250 per eye. You will be given a reading by the optometrist in HPB and you just need to bring the reading to any optical shop, no need to have eye tested again.

We went to Optical 88 and made a pair of glasses for $120. Later, when we shop around, we realise Spectacle Hut selling cheaper and nicer children's frames. You may want to go have a look.

I also bought a Eye Relax machine for her, hopefully can reduce her power......it's quite expensive, around $624 if you are a Popular Member.......

Are you going to a private refraction clinic? You can check with the clinic if they have some recommended optical shops.

I got some names from the the clinic and I went to Capitol Optical eventually.

Going to the Health Promotion Board (I think) refraction clinic for students (the one that is referred from school). Anyone been there? Was it able to recommend optical shops? Thanks.

he lost 0.5 mark as he did not indicate \"..\" over a word in comprehension... :x

He lost 0.5 mark in Chinese on 1 HYPY question....got helping words aslo can copy the wrong sign!
Lost another 0.5 mark in 'forming sentence', one stroke of the chinese character was wrong. So total minus 1 point...

Wow, clever boy, and the marker quite strict. Errrrrr.....you have not answer my question, do they have oral exam and composition? Coz it's quite difficult to get close to a hundred marks for language like what your kiddo did, only minus 0.5 marks, that's amazing for language exams. That means he scored full marks for oral and also compo, very good results indeed!

My kiddo lost 4 points in his maths, 1 point in his Chinese & 0.5 in his English SA1 recently due to carelessness too.

What I intend to do during this holiday is to print out test papers with answers all writen on it. Some answers will be delibrately written wrongly and I will ask him to spot the mistakes.
Hopefully using this method, he will approach 'checking paper' in a different mind set and adopt it during his future tests/exams.... 🙏
      Hi ttyh

wow, how did your kiddo did it? lost 0.5 marks in english? does the school has paper 1 english? that means oral and compo? if have, how did your kiddo only lose 0.5 marks? can share with us please......

      Hi Sskitty and all

I am facing the same problem. My girl is very careless too, she lost one or two marks in her maths test due to carelessness but lost many many many marks in her SA1 exam which upsets me very much.

I told her I am very upset, she cried. I felt bad. I tried the carrot method before the exams too, but it didn’t work.

Anyone know if abacus helps in their accuracy?

      Hi Buds and CSC

Thanks so much for your valuable advice. Will check with the class teacher if model drawing is compulsory.

I bought the Elementary for Oral Techniques yesterday too. Think it is very good. Buds, thank you very much for your recommendation.

      Buds…

Two questions for you or anyone who knows…thanks…

Is it compulsory to draw model for P1 maths or is it ok if they just show workings like 20-12=8 at the side? I think model makes my gal even more blur…

For English picture writing, do they have to write in paragraph form or they can number their sentences as follows :-

      1) Ali is 7 years old.
      2) He is a boy.
      3) He has a pet dog named Bobby.

      OR in paragraph :

Ali is 7 years old. He is a boy. He has a pet dog named Bobby…

Appreciate anyone who can respond to the above.
