Emelyn:beanbear:I thought this was such a cool thing to try out so I did with DS who is 12 & DD who is 11. Both did without hesitation but both had different approaches. DS actually tore a little slowly at first, then rip it quickly and indeed it make a clean tear right through. I thought it was quite smart of him. DD made a very clean fold and then tore it in half. I thought both my kids showed willingness to try out things, a \"just do it\" attitude - thank goodness!!Did they ask you \"why?\" ?I agree. They demonstrated the \"Just do it\" attitude. And not too concerned about whether they are \"correct\" or not.... Like, you know, not worried whether they are confined to a set of rules / boundaries.... You know what I mean ? I can't express myself very well...They didn't ask why. I told them I'm doing an experiment and my kids love experiments and observing. I guess in my daily interactions with them, I've often shared with them this message, when one way doesn't work, find another way, just keep doing it until you find a way that works. It's actually quite funny; I'm personally quite a rule breaker myself but in spite of my best efforts to create house with strict rules & schedules, my kids are quite rule benders themselves!!!
