jtoh:If you read through the various GEP threads here you'll get a fair idea of the trials and tribulations GEP kids and their parents are experiencing, the good and bad, the work load... There is no one singular experience. Some kids embrace it and do really well. Some others are struggling, emotionally and academically.Have you decided to go or not to go ? We are also in a dilemma ... thought just try for fun to roughly gauge where he stands, didn't really expect him to get in, now seems like if we don't let him go, it's like doing him a disservice ... but it's really far & nobody can pick up if he stays back after school and the programme seems to be quite challenging .... don't know if he can make itdagong99:
Hi All...
Seldom post here. Found this thread because my DD got in too. Same like every parent here, have the dilemma of whether to accept and if yes, which school.
Saw somewhere that kids from girls' school stand a higher chance if their choice of GEP school is also all girls'?
Attend the parents briefing with your kid. Have a chat with the schools there, as well as ask GEB any questions you may have. Chances are you'll come away wanting to join GEP bec it is a marketing talk after all.
Hi Dagong99
My DD came back today and told me she wants to give it a shot.
Hi jtoh, thank you for your valuable input once again
LOL on the marketing talk.. cant agree more. Its a dilemma beween NYPS and RGPS now.. though i think we stand a slimmer chance for the former as my girl was not in HMT.
