Think it’s from Japan. But I think they already assigned. Nonetheless, good to consider and prepare if there should be another group.
Noone ever hosted foreign student for short stay (< 1wk)?

Homestay Host
Apparently the school will be having some foreign exchange students and they were looking for family who can play host to a kid for a weekend.
This is quite interesting although it'll kind of mess up the routine weekend activities.
Just like to find out what kind of activities would you organise for the foreign exchange kid other than the usual tourist attractions which I think the school will be bringing them to? :scratchhead: -

Just curious how u managed to get one phase earlier for ACSJ?Hi
I am able to register my son in acs junior under phase 2b however I very to drive to acs junior as compared to we can walk to acs Barker. However registration for acs Barker will be 2c.
Am thinking of logistically my son can walk to school if acs Barker but 2b and 2c is also some risk. I am a Singaporean.
Could any kind parent advise what we should do? Is there any difference between these schools please? Thank u for ur time. -
RE: Anglo Chinese Family of Schools
Just some additional info.
When ACPS was still in Coleman St, they had 10 classes per cohort vs ACJS 4 classes in Barker Rd. Believe that was up to the 80s
I’m not sure how many classes ACJS had after they moved to Cairnhill and ACPS after they moved to BR. Maybe someone can provide this info.
If that being the case, ACPS will have significantly more Old Boys than ACJS and that will affect the take-up rate at 2A. -
RE: MOE Relooking P1 registration - Too much priority to alumni
ksi:
not sure if I read u correctly, but secondary-primary school affiliation is NOT applicable for P1 registration.
I agree and especially the highlighted point is a good one to implement. Alumni should be the school they graduated from. And also the downward affiliation from secondary back to primary, to be consistent, it should be scrapped cos some schools have this and some do not, confusing and unnecessary. This also results in some people having 2 school choices and some have none. -
RE: Methodist Girls' School (Primary)
I believe that alot of the girls take up CCA from P1 onwards, with some having 2~3 by P3!!!!
Be do be cautious coz some CCA cost $$$$.

u a school staff/teacher in RGPS? :? -
RE: Raffles Girls' Primary
realised that there are not many choices of CCA and some clashes with HMT or perhaps some other after-school-hours classes.
Do alot of its students end up not taking up any CCA at all? :?
