Hello, may I ask how are classes allocated to students for 2021 S1 class this year?
Normally the last 1 to 2 classes are the GEP classes, the rest are random.

This year Y3 has 7 triple Science class
Thanks @gancheongdaddy! How many Y3 classes are there altogether? Heard that the kid will need at least GPA 3.4 to qualify for triple science. Basically all As 😅 Is that right?
There are 11 classes for Y3 this year (2020) with no 'O' level class. I don't think you need 3.4 to get triple science as I don't think there are so many students getting 3.4 and above.

Hi hi, I am exploring DH as one of the 6 choices for my child’s S1 posting and I’m staying near Tiong Bahru MRT. Wondering if any existing students staying around here too, the best route via MRT/direct bus, duration to fro etc.... appreciate reply🙏🏻😊
I think most students will walk from Mountbatten MRT, cutting through the HDB neighbourhood to the backgate near the Library. The walk is about 10+min. Some may take bus 158 from Mountbatten MRT to the school front gate. The new Katong Park MRT on Thomson-East Coast line is slated to complete in 2023 (not sure if it will be delayed due to the Covid) is around 250m away from the front gate. Hope this helps.

Hi, may I enquire regarding student council internship in Sec 2? My girl mentioned her senior gave talk about that, but she’s not too sure. Thank you.
If I remember correctly, I think your girl will have to get the form and get two teachers (form teacher and CCA teacher) to endorse her for the application. After submitting the application, there will be an Interview conducted by the SC teacher to select the candidates.

Thanks much for the sharings, phtthp, gancheongdaddy!

Btw, is L1R5 GPA2.4, an average of 65%? - thank you in advance.
GPA 2.4 is C+ or 55 to 59.
65 is already a B+ which is GPA 3.2

Just to add on some information, if at the end of Y2, their L1R5 GPA is below 2.4, then the students will have to go through additional lesson during the End of Year holiday and sit for another exam. If they manage to clear the exam, then they will be able to continue in Y3 IP, otherwise, they will go the Y3 ‘O’ level class. Normally there is one class reserved for each cohort for this though the class size is extremely small and this year, I understand everyone manage to clear the bar, so there is no ‘O’ level class for Y3 at all.

Hi, you can go Reddit and take a look.

Oh thanks!
https://www.reddit.com/r/SGExams/comments/bdm8qd/a_levels_project_work_results_release_2019/

I noticed there's no or little info coming from a few JCs like DHS, NJC, SAJC, NYJC, and also the national average.
And one even mentioned that the latest results of NYJC not as good, so the school didn't reveal.

Previous year results summarized by Mindays was quite complete:
https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=82569&start=90
DHS P has just sent a letter to all DHS parents thru Parent Gateway: The 2019 Year 5 cohort, which comprises our first Joint Admission Exercise intake, attained 100% A and B grades, with almost 90% of students attaining A grades.
