hi MyDD scored 230 + 2
we are looking at Fu Hua, Commonwealth, Jurong Sec & Hua Yi.
Any comments on these 4 schools?
should we consider putting Commonwealth & Fu Hua first though her score is below their COP? Jurong is our next choice.
thank you.

RE: Rulang Primary
Lock:
Classes are allocated based on overall results ie. counting ALL subjects. My son's FT told them that 1st class is 4H, 2nd class 4G and 3rd is 4F. The rest are mixed ability.
what's \"mixed ability\"? How is 4A different from 4B, 4C, etc?? How does the school differentiate the rest of the group who does not make it to the top 3 classes? based on math results???eg. 4A - those better in Math? Will the school explain how they do it?
thanks. -

RE: All About Taekwondo
By the way, my entire family : my husband (black belt), my dd (brown belt), my ds (yellow belt) and I (black tip) are all attending Master Eom’s class. He is very patient with both adults n kids.
My kids love his sessions.
as for my husband and I, we join bcos we would like to learn n brush up on the ‘proper’ technics from a true blue Korean master. I understand that Master Eom has gotten his 7th Dan recently. -

RE: FORM BALLET AT BUKIT TIMAH
i sent my gal to form ballent when at age 4. she was there for a yr but after that she didnt want to go.
Form is good.. but perhaps, my girl found it a bit boring... the 2 lady teachers are actually very good and they have girls who stay through till quite high levels.. hence, if you are looking for good foundation and through to higher levels, then Form may be good.
there is another ballet school in bt timah plaza , next to popular bookstore. i see quite a number of kids attending there. expats too. you can take a look there as well.lpn:
Hi mummy need your comments against Form ballet at Bukit Timah

RE: Rulang Primary
Hi ttyh,
thanks for your message.
from her mid year paper, she seems to have problem with things like 'more than' / 'less than'. simple and direct ones, she can do. but if you change the qns a little, she gets lost. she associates more than with '+' and less than with '-'. And also, there problem sums which she is not able to fully comprehend.
Honestly, she was so disillutioned after the mid yr paper. her teacher actually told her right at her face that her maths is no good. she came home feeling so sad and asked me to find her a tutor. (p/s: i thot it was rather insensitive of the teacher to say that). i had a hard time trying to do damage control and assure her that she is ok.
since the 4th term, i managed to sign her up for maths class. the class was very small, with only 2 students. she likes the class and we actually see some improvement in her yr end papers. what we are most pleased is that she becomes more confident and not that negative. hence, i believe she needs more practices and having someone to guide her along the way, helping to clear her doubts .. sad thing is that the center closed down this dec. hence i'm looking out for tutor for her now.
i hate to say this, but sometimes, i feel that it may have to do with her age. you see, she is a dec kid, hence almost a yr younger than most of her friends in class, less matured and less confident. i just wish to help to boost her esteem and keep her going and not lose interst in maths.ttyh:

anyone has any recommendation for a good maths tutor? At P1, she's only getting 70 +.. i'm a bit worried as i heard the children will be \"streamed\" at the end of P2 based on their P2 results... thanks.
Hi
Do you know which is her weakness topic?
At P1, it is basic + and -.
Are her mstakes mainly from problem sum or fundamentals or plain careless?
How is her approach towards maths? Cos if she resist at this point and you push on for Tution, it maybe worst.
Just my 2 cents -
