RE: Pocket Money
I had reduced my ds pocket money from $1.00 to $0.50 since p1. The main reason because his snack is provided and he goes to scc for his lunch. He has requested us to keep the money for him and bank in the money in year end.
He is stingy with his money, hardly use his own pocket money to buy stationery from bookstore. He will let us know what he needs and we will get for him. -
RE: Smart TV
Hi
In the window 8 software there is a function which allow parents to set the time limit and time slot for the child to use pc. Does anyone know is there any TV model has this kind of function to limit the child watching too much of TV programme. So far I know only have password lock for access to TV but does not have time slot setting. -
RE: washing machine?
Hi, I’m new user to Front load and just bought Bosch 7kg. The salesman told us that Front load 7kg = Top load 10kg & Front load 7kg=cloth only and Top load 7kg=water + cloth, which means the Front load can have more cloth to be washed, is that trure?
Last night I have my 1st wash with eco-Prefect function, it took 3h++ to complet the cycle. For sure it save alot of water, but for electricity I don’t know . . . 3h++ used. The saleman keep on promo the speedPrefect function which only needs 1h but he does not tell us that only can load 5kg (indicated in the manual), so now have the feeling of cheated. They also didn’t mention of any demo of machine
After using, I then realised that I don’t know how to check whether the machine is full loaded or overloaded. Is it as much as I can put into the drum until reach the "top" ? If using Top load I don’t have this problems, I can easily remove any extra clothing . I also don’t know much of det’g powder should I use. Currently I’m using TupperClean Laundry Concentrate, the box indicated 1/2 spoon to be used and add more if needed. How to check , can’t see the water , not like Top load.
Hope someone advise. tks -

RE: All about Cakes & Cookies Baking
Hi
Is anyone using baby belling oven? The oven can adjust 3 level (Top, middle and lower). Normally I used middle tray for all type of baking. I would like to know is it possible to use 2 level tray for baking the pineappart tart at once go, eg middle-upper & lower tray. I’m worry the upper tray’s tart will get burn and lower tray not cook. Hope the bakery expert advise. Thanks -
RE: Summary of Singapore Banks Fixed Deposit Interest Rate
chuakee:
When you participate in forex, you are already subjected to the exchange rate so there can't be no risk. Australian and NZ banks pay higher interest rates than the rest of the world, but both currencies are very expensive compared to SGD now so not worth itlittle patrick:
Hi
Has anyone try Foreign Currency Fixed Deposit? Which currency has the best return and no risk?
Thanks in advance.
Hi chuakee thanks. I'm not a risk taker still prefer SGD FD althought the interest not high but my husband would like to try FD Renminbi, is it worth it? If not wrong Foreign currency does not have the $50K insurance coverage, if any happen all the money gone :stupid: -
RE: Saving Accounts Interest rates

Which savings account has the highest interest rate?
OCBC has a bonus+ saving account which is suppose to yield higher savings account interest. I tried it out, opened the account with $5k. At the end of 2nd month, the interest earned is $7+. Well, we all know savings account's interest rate is pathetic but I thought this one is not bad leh (compared to other savings account).
I have went to OCBC website to find out more info on this promotion but still can't figure out how they work out to paid 1.8% for 12month. This means that their interest paid out is better than those FD promotion. Is it just simply as open a new account for 12 months for no withdraw and can earn that 1.8%? Hope someone can explain. Thanks in advance
