Personally, as a child, I learn rollerblading myself, but I think it would be better. If I recall, CCK Complex holds several Beginner and Advanced Inline Skating classes. Your child might also be able to join an interest group on rollerblading and start there.

RE: Looking For CIP in Holidays Or Weekends
ReachTutor:
Thanks! I'm actually keen in volunteering in a few years time. There's so many age limits. My friend and I are both very enthusiastic about these kind of activities and I hope in the future they will provide more opportunities for younger children. Volunteering should have no boundaries.medontknowwhattosay:
Hi. I am a Secondary 2 student, and although I know I'm not a parent, I came here upon knowing about this site because I know parents are really serious about their kids and children's education and well-being. I am looking for CIP work around Singapore for Secondary 2's to fulfill my NYAA And CIP Hours. I so far only have 35 hours and I know I have a lot of time but after volunteering a few times, I found out I liked volunteering and wanted to go beyond the 100 hour requirements needed. Does any parent where to volunteer? THANKS.

You can check out https://www.facebook.com/VolunteerNowww
It's really good to see young students like you take on roles of volunteering. I hope that your passion for volunteering will continue growing, and perhaps a few years down the road, you'll be joining me volunteering at CDAC.
By the way, I'm an NYAA Gold holder, so if you're interested in going for higher levels of the Award, you can PM me to find out how did I find my activities.

RE: Volunteering at NLB
Hi. I am Sec 2, and idk if y'all parents know, but we have this LEAPS programme in which we must fulfill our CIP hours, and me being me (KIASU), I want to finish ASAP. I'm thinking of volunteering at the library, but I'm not the most sociable, especially with older teens. Has any of your DD/DS volunteered there before, and how was the experience?
Thanks.

Thanks so much!My DD used to volunteer at Meet people Session.
You know in every Estate , the MPs/Minister will have weekly Meet People Sessions with the local residents helping them solve problems.
DD was assigned to type out letters for these residents....
You should check it out... :xedfingers: -

RE: Ice Skating at jCube
Maybe learn something like the basics of rollerblading first then pick up ice skating. Thatβs what I did.

RE: Learning cycling
I didnβt learn how to cycle, until 11 years old. Now I am 14. I learnt how to cycle by myself. Everytime I fell down, I would pick myself up and try again. Even if people kept staring, I tried over and over again, and eventually I learnt how to do it. All it takes is some patience and resilience.
