Hi,

Any idea on how did the 2019 cohort do in Science. Seeing too few a A* in Science (here and there). There were a lot more A* in English and Maths though the papers were considered difficult and a lot of them were stunned after exiting the exam hall.

A lot of them in my DD's class unexpectedly scored A* in English and Maths. Looked the aggregate scores were skewed towards those kids who did well in these 2 subjects.

Any knowledge on this...

This year (2019), A * for Maths :

dropped to 85 or 86,
after adjustment (moderation), to the entire PSLE cohort (thousands of children), with the Pattern questions ?

Rudimentary question. For comparison, how the 2019 cohort did overall,

1) What is the ESIS cut-off? The top one-third is based on how many independent school places? Do we include SSS, SST, SOTA etc?

2) What is the cut-off for 10% of the cohort offered Cat C third language?

Can someone who has it list down 2019 vs 2018 vs 2017?

PH is popular and affiliated to a church. P2B is usually over-subscribed ( about 2:1 this year). Think again if you want to do PV.

Don’t go to Malaysia. Avoid. Period.

Just curious, is Rosyth recruiting PVs now? For children born in which year? Did I miss the application period? My daughter is born in 2009.

Rosyth has stopped taking in PVs.

Both ACSJ and ACSP do not accept PVs.

I remember phase 2C take up rate was 127 and available vacancies 26. Now the results for School Vacancies by Phases — Phase 2C Supplementary

(as at 6 August 2013), it showed that Marymount Convent take up rate is 128 and available vacancies 25. Strange? Anyone can comment?

MCS will probably be one of the most sought-after schools at P2CS. If SC outside 2km had tried for the school at P2C itself, they would have most probably got in.
